Jersey Law
.) If an athlete is traded or signs as a free agent with a new team under the same governing organization/association, you can only wear his new team’s jersey.
.) If an athlete’s number changes, you can only wear his new number.
.) If an athlete’s sponsor changes, you can only wear the gear that features the new sponsor.
.) If an athlete retires, you can wear any jersey from his career.
.) If an athlete changes leagues/series and is then governed by a new organization/association, you can wear his old league/series’ uniform.
.) There is NO RULE SIX!
.) If a team relocates, you can wear the old city’s logo.
.) If a team changes styles, you can still wear the older jersey as long as the athlete whose name is on the back still plays for the team.
.) You can always wear an athlete’s college/national/Olympic merch.
.) Personalized jerseys are always lame.
