Here we live, now nearly 18 years strong. The place could use a little spiffing up, communally and individually. But that's because we have been under the wave of a spreading megalopolis. And it spreads over and over again, each time filling in the blanks it missed, leaving behind more elements that comprise the richest cultural environment in the world. More people. More development. More money. More good things to do. But also more diversity and poverty. Are we still prepared to handle this? Are we capturing the best of it for ourselves? Or is the worst overcoming us?
