K & J Exotics is Run By me Kayla Fulghum and is based out of my home & a few foster homes located within the metro areas in minnesota. I specialize in almost all animals commonly kept as pets, but my main focus is educating prospective exotic animal parents & taking in the exotics people want/or have to get rid of for any reason. I have years of hands on knowledge dealing with Ferrets, hedgehogs, Chins, Squirrels of sorts, foxes, raccoons, birds (including large parrots), common rodents, dogs, cats, horses, other farm aniamals, snakes (corns, boas and pythons) and Lizards (Beardeds, Geckos and a few others). Here at K & J Exotics, We are usually a forever home unless the animal is too aggressive or timid to work with safely in my home. If I have to re-home an animal I WILL contact the previous owner for permission, or to discuss what should be done. I will not knowingly accept any animal that is sick or feral (Animals not raised in captivity or animals not handled by humans).I have worked with special needs animals in the past, mainly ferrets, so If you have a special needs animal contact me and we'll discuss if its an animal/condition I am willing to work with. The following are a few Special Needs issues I have had experiance with, Adrenal Disease/in ferrets, Behavioral issues/in ferrets, dogs and birds, Animals Requiring medication, Animals with minor, and treatable injuries just to name a few. I Have limited space for animals so I try to take in more "Needy" animals (Animals on there way to a shelter). I also Have a ton of refrences from friends and Family, to Neighbors, co-workers and other rescues.

Surrendering/Adoption Information
Surrendering: If you wish to surrender a animal to K & J Exotics PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
1. Animal/s Must Be used to some sort of human contact.
2. Animal/s Must Be Healthy unless Medical issue was addressed and discussed before surrendering.
3. Previous Owner/s must understand K & J does not "Purchase" or "Pay" you for a animal needing a home, we only accept donated animals.
4. Animals Must have been captive bred/raised within the U.S. and conform to all state and federal LAWS.
5. The donating party is responsible for drop-off, delivery, and transfer of the animal/s in question to K & J exotics.
Adoption If you would love to possibly adopt an animal PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
1. You must understand donated animals may have an unknown past history, therefore, If you do adopt an animal through K & J Exotics we cannot "Promise" or "guarantee" the temperament or behavior of the said animal/s before or after adoption occurs.
2. You are required to fill out and thoroughly read through K & J's adoption application and contract paperwork.
3. Prospective adopters must understand how to care and provide for the animal to be adopted, and must demonstrate this knowledge.
