Should I stay or should I go

If I go there will be trouble

If I stay it will be double

So come on and let me know

Should I stay or should I go

I witnessed two similar but very different events recently both involved a bird and a cat. in the first event I saw a bird continually swooping down on a cat from a nearby tree. The cat would continually strike at the bird with it's claws. I wondered as I watched, what was the reason for the bird to take such a risk as to keep giving the cat more and more chances to snare it in the cat's claws. I thought maybe the bird was protecting it's young, but as I watched I got more the idea that the bird was teasing the cat and if this was true why would the bird take such a risk if it was not necessary. On another occasion I watched a bird doing something similar but this time the cat was a concrete statue. At first the bird would swoop down near the bird, sometimes landing at a safe distance from it. The bird did this for several minutes and you could tell that even though there was no reaction in the statue the bird did not trust idea that it was not a live cat. eventually it dared to land on the head for a second at a time, but never did it dare to land directly in front of the cat. After watching this event it was clear that the bird was testing how much of a threat this likeness of a cat was but why test it in the first place. Unless it is in the bird's nature to test it's surroundings for possible dangers and the amount of risk involved. This is probably a trait that has helped them survive and why the bird in the first event knew how far it could go.

Living in the Kingdom of God on Earth is like living in a strange foreign country most of your life then comming home and knowing you are where you belong.

The Second Comming
In these times many are looking for Christ to return to take his church and set up his reign on earth. It is also thought the Jesus's return will be hailed in with loud trumpets from heaven with him appearing in the sky with the saints. While this may be true, sometimes events do not happen the way that is expected. The Jews were looking for a messiah that would free them from Roman rule. Jesus did not do this but instead brought a message of hope that was to go beyond the Jewish people. If Christ's return does not happen in a way that is expected will Christians reject the son of God the same way he was rejected by the Jews. Remember Jesus taught "what you do for the least of these". Before you pray for Jesus to come and rule with an iron rod,I hope you realize what you are asking for and when you criticize someone for rejecting Jesus you need to ask yourself if you haven't done the same.
