Dissidence Rumbles from Within . . .

On the surface, Life in Minor Chords seems like one more punk-pop trio, blending the disparate sounds of old-school punk guitar with catchy, infectious pop vocals. With youthful exuberance and flashy energy, the group could be seen as "one more alternative band trying to make it big," but that perception would be grossly uninformed. LIMC does have all of the quintessential qualities of a band poised to hit the airwaves, but there is substance under the glitter and there is a method to that madness.

"Sure we've sold out, if selling out means subverting the system," says bassist Jimmy Hunt. "Read the words to our songs—they require thought; they address the issues facing our generation. Dissidence does not have to come from outside the system. What good would our opinions be if the music wasn't heard? Not everyone can be Foogazie; it takes a Pearl Jam to spread the message to the masses."

"We live what we believe," adds singer Adam Rollins, "and that makes us authentic."
