PRAYER

Prayer is defined in a Dictionary as " a Personal
Communication or Petition
addressed to God".This means One-Way conversation.God created human beings to
enjoy the relationship with God.A relationship will be encouraged by
having some communication and the relationship with God deepens through
the practicing of Prayer.
"Saying our Prayers" is not so similar with "Really Praying".Those who persisted
in repeating childish prayers learned years ago,get into stuck in their
Spiritual life and the relationship with God.As our knowledge of God develops so
our concept of Prayer changes and matures.
PRAYER BEGINS WITH AN AWARENESS OF GOD'S PRESENCE, LEADS INTO AN AWARENESS OF
OUR NEEDS AND ENDS WITH HOPEFULNESS THAT WE've ON OUR LORD!!
Prayer is a conversation between man and God.Quality of conversation depends on
the relationship that exists between the Persons.Through Jesus we became
children of God.
Prayer is an important spiritual exercise for a Christian.Often we think of prayer
as a way to get GOD to do things for us,but the main purpose is to strengthen
our relationship with HIM.
Child's words to their earthly Parents will be meaningful words to convey
an honest request .When the child is old enough to Pray..he is old enough
to learn that Prayer is merely Conversation with our Heavenly Father.
The important thing in effective Prayer is that the person praying
be in the right relationship with God.It's quite simple, put yourself completely
in God's hands.Surrunder HIM not only your problems but also your most cherished
plans for the future.Don't hold back a thing.Believe that by seeking first HIS
kingdom, all that really needs shall be given to you.
Part of our Prayer life should include Praying alone.(When you Pray...go into
your room and shut the door and Pray to the Heavenly Father who's in
secret).Part of our Prayer life should be with others.(If two of you agree on
earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father.For when
two or more are gathered in my Name, then am I in the midst of them)
Time and Position:
Pray in the morning.Let God take the whole control on your Day and put
yourself at HIS disposal.Pray in the evening.Take an inventory of your day then
ask HIM forgiveness when you failed and Thank HIM when HE powered you
overcome.We can Pray all the day long-while working.
Pray on your Knees in the morning and at night.There's nothing magic about
the position.Position is not important but the Prayer is important.While we
are praying, it is good to bend our knees.Because, we should be humble at
HIS presence.
KNEELING KEEPS YOU IN GOOD STANDING WITH GOD.
There's no magic in just Praying.PRAYER DOESN'T CHANGE THINGS BUT GOD
DOES.PRAYER IS MERELY A LINK BETWEEN THE PETITION AND ANSWER.
Late Answering:
This doesn't mean that God never answers the prayers of unbelievers or
heathen,God hears the croaking of young ravens and let them fed,and so God
sometimes answers the unbelievers if they are upright in their Prayers.We don't
always get immediate answers to our prayers because, God will answers in HIS
time.We've to wait for that.HE knows the perfect timing.Because of wonderful
Prayer promises in the Bible we know that we're heard.
PRAYER IN THE NAME OF JESUS IS A DIRECT LINE TO GOD.WHEN GOD PUTS YOU ON HOLD' DON"T GRUMBLE AND DON'T HANGUP.BETTER DO WAIT FOR
HIS TENDER OF MERCIES.
Jesus'
Life is a Good Model for us:
In the gospel of Luke we can find Jesus Christ prayed for so many times.
(3:21,5:16, 6:12, 9:18,29, 11:1, 22:41, 23:24).Consider the cases in which the
Lord Jesus Christ prayed of HIS was answered.Two times Heavenly Father testified
HIM in the two followed cases(Luke 3:21,22, 9:35).JESUS said: I do always the
things that are pleasing to HIM(John 8:29).That's the reason that God could
answer all HIS Prayers.When we pray in the name of Jesus,it is certain that our
prayer will be answered.Praying in the name of Jesus means praying praying in
HIS place with HIS authority.Praying in the name of Jesus must bear the
characteristics of the prayer of Jesus Christ himself as a perfect dependance.We
can pray according to HIS Will,so that we can have the assurance that our
Prayers will be answered.
ONE CHRISTIAN WILL GROW IN CHRIST WHEN HE SEES THE MUCH IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER.
GOD wants us to make our needs know."IF YOU THEN,BEING EVIL,KNOW HOW TO GIVE GOD
GIFTS TO YOUR CHILDREN,HOW MUCH MORE WILL YOUR FATHER WHO'S IN HEAVEN GIVE GOD
THINGS TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM"(Mathew 7:11).
TEACH ME TO PRAY,O LORD TEACH ME TO PRAY THIS IS MY HEART-CRY DAY BY DAY UNTO
SAY I LONG TO KNOW THY WILL AND THY WAY TEACH ME TO PRAY O LORD!!
Holy Spirit catches our deepest longings,aspirations and brings in line with
the fathers unlimited purposes for us.
Gethsemane Prayer is a
Great Victory:
When coming into GOD's presence,instead of giving HIM the gift of our gratitude
and love nothing pleases our Father more than our Silence Thanksgiving.It was
happened Jesus' sweat shed like drops of blood no where else but in garden of
Gethsemane.HIS prayer and tears were able to save HIM from death(Heb 5:7).HE
didn't cried when HE was crucified but HE cried in the prayer and the prayer
made HIM stronger.Jesus walked to the cross with courage and HIS 3 disciples
(who were in sleeping while Jesus was Praying in the garden) fell a part and ran
away.Just imagine what a great Strength we can have by doing prayer.
WHEN WE CAN'T PUT OUR PRAYER INTO WORDS,GOD HEARS OUR HEART.
We may not know what to pray for,but we have a Holy Partner who does (Rom
8:28).When we pray for something specific,we will go through a period in which
our needs seem not yet to be fulfiled.Eventhough we need to be persisted in
Prayer.
LIFT UP YOUR HEART TO THE HEAVEN.THERE'S A LOVING AND KIND FATHER WHO OFFERS RELEASE COMFORT AND PEACE IN A SILENT PRAYER.
Realize the great reason that's behind the Prayer.So always Pray well and get everything well.May God Bless you and may God hear your Prayer.
