INTRODUCTION.
Hi my name is John I got my Foundation License in Sept. 2002. I done the coarse at The Beacons in Frodsham, Cheshire. My call sign was M3BMP.
I have now gone on to do my Intermediate which I passed on the 1st. July 2005. I done the training and exam with the SARS in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
My working conditions are, The Shack is the spare bedroom converted to hold my comp. radio etc. My transceiver is the Kenwood TS-440s, Mic. Kenwood MC-60, ATU MFJ-941E, Ant. G5RV full at approx 30ft. in the air. I also have a Ascom RATS SE550 MK3 4m radio, which operates on a dipole, 2Mtr. wise I have a FDK MULTI 750E, with that I use either the beam or dual vert. and a Yaesu 4700=RH Duel band. Mobile I use the Yaesu 7800E with the Sirio HP 2070, I'm hoping also in the near future to put my Magnum 257 10Mtr into the car.
I also dabble with SSTV and PSK, the programs I use for these are MMSSTV and Digipan.
On a personal note I'm 52 yrs old, married with four children one boy and three girls, and four grand-daughters.
