Bi-Weekly House Keeper Wanted
Monday, 12 June 2006

I am looking for someone to clean my home every other Monday on a regular basis. I prefer someone that works alone, has quite a bit of experience doing this exact thing & references. Ideal person would be able to commit long-term and want to get to know my home and the things I like so they know how to do things around here regularly and independently to my pleasing. This is not just cleaning the toilets...this is also helping me keep my home clean, organized, and maintained. Someone that doesn't mind children or their messes and is great picking up after them! I also have 2 dogs and a cat. Please email me specifics on what you do when you clean, and what you charge based on the info provided below.

2 story home in Avery Park, kitchen, living room, office, half bath downstairs. Master with full bath, 2 bedrooms with full bath, and a bonus room upstairs. This room is sectioned off...there are two twin beds in part of it, and the rest is a playroom.

In all Rooms: Dust any ceiling fans, lights, mini-blinds and other high dusting. Clean wall decorations, picture frames, light switches, window sills, doors, knobs and door trim. Dust, clean and/or polish all furniture and all decorative items. Clean baseboards. Sweep, mop and vacuum (including the steps). Bed Linens removed, washed & re-made on all beds. Trash collected & disposed. Laundry collected & taken to washroom (would love to have laundry done). Windows to be cleaned as needed (front door area is a MUST each time).

In the Kitchen: Clean all cabinets, microwave, and appliances. Move all small appliances and other items on counter and clean the counter area. Clean the tops of all items and replace them where they were found. Scour the sink. (If dishes in sink, put in dishwasher). Sweep and thoroughly mop the floor/hardwoods. Treat hardwoods with finish. Occassionally wipe out and sanitize the refrigerator.

In all Bathrooms: Dust any lights, mini-blinds and other high dusting. Clean wall decorations, picture frames, light switches, window sills, doors, knobs and door trim. Dust, clean and/or polish all furniture and all decorative items. Clean baseboards. Sweep, mop and vacuum. Sanitize toilets. Scour the bathtubs, showers, and sinks. Polish all fixtures and clean mirrors.

**When dusting, I prefer everything from the surface be removed, a cloth with polish be used, and then items put back where they were found. I don't like a dust wand just moved in and out, around items.
