Hello and welcome to the unofficial tribute page for a greatly underrated and very talented performer from classic movies and TV shows: Jimmy Murphy, who has sometimes been credited as Jim Murphy and James Murphy.
I first discovered Jimmy several months ago when I watched the delightful Monkees episode he guest-starred in, #25, Alias Micky Dolenz. Being impressed with his talents (and admittedly, finding him quite good-looking), I set out to uncover what else he has been in. Since then I have found many guest-starring roles on popular television shows, as well as wonderful roles, large and small, in movies.
I will not attempt to include a detailed filmography here, as right now I am in the process of trying to update and correct Jimmy's page at IMDb.com. If I succeed, I plan to make it the most detailed filmography that I can.
Meanwhile, this site will serve as a gallery to host pictures I've screencapped from his appearances in movies and on television. It will also serve as, I hope, a beacon to anyone who may know how to contact this wonderful actor. I would like very much to be able to write and tell him how much I enjoy his roles, and also to interview him, but I have a slight problem: there are so many Jimmy Murphys that it's almost impossible to find the right one!
I hope you will enjoy my little collection of screengrabs. I will try to update as frequently as I can with more.
Please sign my guestbook if you are a fellow Jimmy Murphy fan, if you wish to make a request for the site (such as a specific appearance you wish for me to try to get screengrabs of), and/or if you have any information about him or know of any way to contact him. Thank you, and God bless!
