Oh! This egg gleams with an ancient beauty. Its swirls of alabaster and cerulean do compare to my eyes quite nicely.
Stupid stone! I'll never get my beauty rest now. Oh, woe is me. Mine lot in life be a hard one.
As though I need any more power. Well, it can't hurt.

I fawn over its beauty, wishing it would hatch for me.

2. Whether you wanted it to or not, the egg has hatched. You now have a blue dragon.
It's so beautiful! In fact, I think I may cry a single tear like a diamond in the night.
Damnit. Well, come, dragon! Come!
Oh, great. What do these eat? Hey, dragon, want some pot?
I touch the dragon instantly. The pain that runs through my body is tolerable, since I am teh 1337.
I tell you, this be a stone! Mine eyes never deceive me.
It's hatching! I am so totally hotter.

3. The dragon communicates with you telepathically. It asks you your name, and commands you to give it a name worthy of OMG teh 1a$t dr@g0n 0n e@rth.
I name it Puff. This guy's full of nothing but hot air, and his ego can take some knocking down.
In a drunken stupor, I name the dragon Hellfire.
Diamontia. Diamontia is a lovely name.
Gmlrhp'd Luthcalcian is a worthy name.
I will call the dragon...Pern Bright Eyes.
Garjzla shall suit him well.

4. Magically, your dragon grows to adult-size within the span of a few pages. What is your first adventure?
Killing all the local rulers, of course.
Overthrowing Knopf.
Getting revenge on the Ra'zac who burned my crops and chickens! Oh, yeah, they got Uncle Owen Garrow, too.
My dragon and I would sing to the forest, refreshing the trees and fashioning lovely homes in the treetops.
I must rescue my wife-to-be.
