á Did you know the earth is surrounded by a blanket of
air that we call the atmosphere
á The Atmosphere surrounds Earth and protects us by
blocking out dangerous rays of the sun
á The troposphere is the layer closest to the earth. Where
the air we breath & where weather occurs.
á The Stratosphere has less turbulence so itÕs very
stable for planes.
á The average height of the Thermosphere is 1,000¡c or higher!
á The Mesosphere has an average height of -190¡ c. This is 190 to 180 k.
á The Thermosphere is the layer first to be exposed to
the sun. Since itÕs so, close itÕs 1,500¡c or higher!!!!!!!
á The Atmosphere describes all the air surrounding the
earth from the ground all the way up to the edge of deep space.
á The atmosphere reaches over 560km (348 miles) from the
surface of the earth, so we are only able to see what occurs fairly closest to
the ground!
á EarthÕs atmosphere is a mixture of gases, suspended
solids and liquids that surrounds the planets!
