Due to her Amazon training, Super Woman is faster, stronger, and a much better fighter than the average person.

Super Woman's dense flesh gives her the equivalent of Excellent body armor.

Super-Woman carries a mystical rope which can change forms at her mental command. The rope is limited to forms that have the same basic long tubular form, such as a vine, a fire-hose, barbed wire, snake-like pseudo-flesh, etc. The maximum material strength of any form is Amazing (similar to osmium steel). A corollary of the rope's power is that, by changing its shape, Super-Woman can ensnare and entangle targets with no physical motion on her part.

Some 3,500 years ago, Hercules was given 12 tasks to accomplish, in order to appease the gods. One of those tasks was to obtain the girdle of Hyppolyta, the queen of the Amazons. He made love to her and stole the girdle, thus gaining power over her all female tribe. He enslaved them, moved them to an island in the middle of the Bermuda triangle, and forced them into training to become his future foot-soldiers in an attempt to dominate the world. The Amazons are honor-bound to obey, and consider it their religious duty to prepare for the eventual world war.

Diana was born on Purgatory Island, daughter of Hyppolyta and Hercules, and trained to lead the female army in their future campaign to conquer the world. All of the immortal inhabitants are extensively trained in all military disciplines for all of their adult lives. The plan is to build their strength and attack in 2-3 thousand years.

Diana met Steve Trevor, who washed ashore on the island. She escorted him back to "Man's World," as part of a scouting expedition to assess the strength of the enemy. What she saw scared her -- the advances of the military-industrial complex had been more rapid than the Amazons had believed. Diana's advice was to attack immediately, before the nations of man got any stronger. Her counsel was refused, and Hercules decreed that there would be no updating of the schedule.

Diana broke with the chain of command. She left Purgatory Island for man's world, which makes her not only a deserter but a heretic. All of her crimes are focused on weakening the military infra-structure of the world super-powers.
