The Injustice Society of the World
The original Huntress was a thief who resented the way that criminals were hunted by the law and who decided to chase down the enforcers of the law herself. She captured the masked crimefighter Wildcat and imprisoned him in her private zoo. She then captured the mayor, district attorney, and police chief of New York City and set them loose in her "private hunting grounds" in order to track them down and kill them. However, Wildcat escaped and thwarted her scheme.

The Huntress has often tried to capture Wildcat, who she sees as "a great hunter of men," and make him "the prize exhibit" in her private zoo, but she has always failed.

At one point the Huntress joined the league of criminals known as the Injustice Society of the World. She eventually married one of its other members, "Crusher" Crock, alias the Sportsmaster. She and the Sportsmaster became a criminal team who together unsuccessfully fought Black Canary and Starman. More recently, the Huntress and Sportsmaster served for a time in a new Injustice Society.

The Huntress became infuriated when a new female crimefighter, also called the Huntress, appeared. The two Huntresses fought, and the new Huntress won decisively, thereby establishing her right to the name.

The original Huntress's current whereabouts and activities are unknown.
