COMPUTER BASICS
This class begins with advanced techniques in Microsoft Word and then goes on to teach proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Access.  Upon completion, the student will have the skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) Certification tests for each of these programs. 
COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
This class is designed for the beginning student and will allow the student to gain proficiency using Microsoft Word as well as become familiar with using the Internet, email, attachments, search engines, scanners, and digital cameras.  The advanced student may choose to test out of this course

Development of basic skills evolving from reading and discussion of various kinds of writing. Emphasis placed on composing a thesis statement with supporting paragraphs.
