My name is Hera, just like the goddess in Greek mythology. I live in San Diego with my son Aaron and our dog, Paxton. Aaron is in 7th grade. I am still waiting for him to slow down.
I work at a midsize hospital in San Diego and I manage two acute care units. An oncology unit with 26 beds and a surgical unit with a capacity of 40 beds.
I love to read. I have a voracious appetite for books. When I feel sad or depressed, I take myself and go to a bookstore and suddenly everything is bright again. I usually have more than one book I'm reading at a time. Please click on "my favorite books" link to see what I am reading now.
I also love to write. I have not written much in the last four years. I have written one book in a draft form and I am sure it needs a lot of work. I have also toyed with writing children's stories. I have a huge imagination which I think helps me with writing stories. I try and instill my love of reading and writing into Aaron, but his hyperactivity gets the better of him at this time.
