Radio Emergency Associated Communications Teams


Hamilton County REACT is a team of volunteer radio operators who use General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS), Family Radio Service (FRS), Citizen's Band (CB), Commercial band and amateur radio for:

  • Traffic Control
  • Storm Spotting
  • Security
  • Monitoring Emergency Radio Channels
  • Communications link between Red Cross, Salvation Army and Others


  • All team members receive ongoing training in the areas of communications, severe weather observation, traffic/crowd control, first aid, and emergency management. This training is regularly exercised in the form of participation in community events, along with emergency and disaster response when called.

    We are always looking for dedicated individuals who have a strong desire to make a difference in their community to be part of our team. Please click the "membership" button at the left of this page to find out how you can be part of our team.

    Monthly Meetings are held at 7:00 pm, every 4th Thursday at the Alice M. Farr Library (1603 L Street) Aurora, Nebraska -- Our monthly meeting is open to the public -- Everyone is welcome to attend.
