The Entourage Superfan: Characters

Main Characters

WARNING: These biographies contain possible spoilers as to what happens in the first two seasons for those of you who haven't seen them!

Vincent Chase is the hottest new star in Hollywood and the entourage is his. Vinny Chase, as he is called by those who know him personally, is enjoying the debut of his first major film "Head On" as season 1 begins. The Murder Mystery/Thriller movie becomes the #1 Live Action Movie in the country on its opening weekend (beaten out for #1 overall by a Pixar movie with an animated squirell). Living the good life after recieving $2 million for his role in Head On, Vince retires to his Hollywood Mansion (provided by the studio) to hang with his friends and search for his next project. Vince doesn't always like to be in the middle of everything, so he has his friend Eric do a lot of the dirty work, like reading scripts to decide which ones are worth going after. At the suggestion of E, Vince, who always has considered himself an artist, decides to go after the lead role in a low budget, but high potential independent film called Queen's Boulevard. He just has to woo the producer and come to an agreement with the director Billy Walsh, a former Sundance Film Festival Winner. The Second season opens with Vince searching for yet another project. Since he had been off shooting the indie film in New York and it had been months to a year since Head On had come out, there were no good offer any longer on the table. When a big money offer for Vince to play Aquaman comes through the door, Eric and Ari work to convince Vince, who is beginning to have financial problems due to the low pay from the indie, to accept. However, Vince isn't sure about the movie and isn't exactly hot on the idea of having to wear a costume. Contract disputes, cast changes, and many other things complicate matters as the entourage works to make Aquaman a reality.

Eric Murphy, or "E" as the guys call him has been friends with Vince since childhood. He is the one that told Vince, who showed up at basketball tryouts in elementary school, "You're to pretty for basketball, go try the school play". After he uttered those words, the rest was history. Eric attended a junior college in New York for 2 years while managing an Italian restaurant. He was the last to follow Vince out to L.A., but did so at Vince's request and he made the decision for Vince to do "Head On". At the start of the 1st season, Vince, who is having problems deciding what new movie to do and doesn't feel like reading through scripts, decided he wants Eric to start making decisions for him, thus starting Eric as his pseudo-manager. Eric picks the indie Queen's Boulevard for Vince, and Vince approves. Before they go to New York at the end of the season to start shooting the movie, E expresses disatisfaction with his role and demands to become Vince's official manager with health insurance and making 10% of what Vince gets. Vince says he likes the way things are to Erics chagrin, but eventually caves to keep his friend, who has had success making the decisions, by his side. The 2nd season shows Erics, a talent manager new to the business, struggling to do what is best for his friends career as well as his own. Eric is always butting heads with Ari and they often trade barbs. A big part of the show is the story of Ari and Eric reluctantly working together to get things done and bring in the money. He is known for being the level-headed member of the Entourage as well as for his seemingly endless relationship problems.

Johnny "Drama" Chase, is Vince's half brother as they share the same father. Drama is considerably older than the other three who graduated together, but it is never made known exactly how much older he is. It is alluded to in an early episode that Vince thought Johnny was his cousin until they were teenagers when he found out differently. Drama has been in L.A. much longer than the other three working and struggling as an actor whos career never took off. He had guest spots in many television series like Pacific Blue and was in his share of tv movies. His only steady job it seems was playing a role in the science fiction series "Viking Quest" which replays on the Sci-Fi channel and has somewhat of a cult following. This is the role Drama gets recognized for if he's recognized at all. But now that Johnny's little bro is a big star, he gets to ride the success and even gets small parts in everything Vince is in from commercials to films. Drama is usually embarassed that his little brother pays his way most of the time, but he still accepts the charity and Vince wouldn't have it any other way. Drama works for Vince as his chef and personal trainer. He seems to know half of Hollywood and claims to know a lot of the ins and outs, but his acting skills seem questionable, and he wasn't blessed with the good looks of his brother.

Turtle is the portly gopher of the entourage. He is at Vince's beckon call. He runs errands, drives Vince around, and performs other random but fairly easy tasks. Turtle often exploits his friendship with Vince to get girls and money but Vince doesn't seem to mind and Turtle doesn't do it out of disrespect to him as he is Vince's biggest supporter, right or wrong, and his most loyal fan. Turtle in known to be a pothead, at least moreso than the others, and an avid Xbox player. He is a fan of hip-hop and in the 2nd half of the 2nd season he becomes the music manager for the rapper Saigon by getting his song put on the Queen's Boulevard soundtrack. When it comes down to it, Turtle would do anything for Vince.

Ari is Vince's hotshot agent who is the only main character technically not a member of the "entourage". Ari is a workaholic known for his temper and smartass comments who works tirelessly to make he and Vince rich. Ari is known for uttering Entourage's most well known and repeated catchphrase "Let's hug it out bitch". He is often at odds with Eric who he thinks is an amatuer, and loves making fun of his small stature and former profession by calling him "pizza boy". Ari was against Vince doing Queen's Boulevard because of how little it paid, but he finally relented and helped make it happen. He was a major driving force behind getting Vince to do aquaman. Ari is perhaps the funniest and most watchable character on the show as he seems to steal nearly every scene he is in.

Secondary Characters

Shauna is Vince's publicist, in charge of things like his wardrobe and rumor control. She adores Vince and goes out of her way to make sure he becomes the sex symbol he deserves to be. However, she often clashes with the rest of his Entourage, not always appreciating what they do for the star's image.

Emily is Ari's assistant during the first season. She becomes a love interest of Eric's, but things turn sour when she is forced to be in the middle of Ari and Erics disputes. In the second season, she has moved on and is working as James Cameron's assitant.

Billy Walsh is an indie director who won Sundance at the age of 24. He is the director picked to direct "Queen's Boulevard". Vince and Billy get along well, but he doesn't like Eric, whom he refers to as a "suit". Eric isn't fond of Walsh either, but has to put up with his shit because he knows he's a brilliant director. Vince has agreed to do a future project with Walsh at some point down the road.

Lloyd is Ari's gay asian assistant who took over after Emily left. He is hardworking and loyal to his boss and he gets along well with the entourage. Lloyd followed Ari to his new agency.

Terence owns the agency Ari works for and reemerges in the second season as Vince has become very successful. Ari feels that Terence is trying to steal his top client on the rise, and is forced to stop him by any means necessary.

Sloan is the daughter of Terence and newest love interest of Eric. Vince thought about going after her but she doesn't date actors.

Josh Weinstein is Ari's former assistant and now an up and coming agent. He endeared himself to Eric by saying it was a good move passing on "Matterhorn". He then goes on to show Eric the "Queen's Boulevard" script. In the second season, he tips the entourage off as to who the Aquaman director will be. Ari despises Josh and feels he's trying to steal Vince.

Ari's wife plays a small role in several of the episodes, usually fighting with her husband. She keeps Ari on a tight leash as she knows how sneaky he is. Ari claims to sleep around with beautiful women, but you get a feeling there's not much truth to it.

Scott Wick is a Hollywood Producer and he put up the money for Queen's Boulevard. Wick doesn't like Vince and is very wary about casting him as the lead in his movie, but it's amazing what a little weed can do for you in a California marijuana drought (like that ever happens). Wick becomes friends with Eric and tries to help him out later in the second season.

Adam Davies is Johnny Drama's agent. Davies assist Drama in getting many auditions, however none of which bring him any jobs. He drops Drama as a client when Ari and Vince leave the agency since he was only part of a "package deal".

Kristen is Eric's ex-girlfriend as the first season starts. None of the guys like her, and think she manipulates Eric. They get together again, but their relationship is finally broken off by Eric after learning that Kristen has decieved him.
