Helping Alabama Female Inmates Start Over

HAFISO is a non-profit organization that assists female ex-offenders to start their lives over. HAFISO was started by Heather Giddens, a former inmate at Julia Tutwiler Prison for Women in Wetumpka, Alabama. Heather Giddens started HAFISO in hopes of finding help for her and others upon their release. However, after being released she found there was very little aid available for ex-offenders. She has joined up with Tangya Warren and other former inmates and together they united their efforts into her program.

HAFISO is available to inmates, ex-offenders, and their families. The program works to help find assistance for the ex-offender and make the transition back to society as easy as possible.

HAFISO relies strictly on your contributions and all work done is on a volunteer basis. If you would like more information on how to help, you can click on the link to our Information Guide.

We would like to thank all those who help support HAFISO and hope many others will join our efforts. Your support will help give these woman a second chance at life.
