Silent Sunset

 

Distant meadows of memory

Flowering in my June mind

Ribbon of purple and yellow blooms

Flowing like her laughter

Between roads leading to forever

 

East West highway blues

Where daisies unfold like a promise

That her smile will never fade

Into the whispering breeze

 

Rise and fall of hilly moods swings

Two lives dipping and rising

Like chords in harmony

The song dying

In sunset hues

Of lavender and purple
