Stanwell House
New Forest Hotel
is a privately owned three star hotel in the heart
of the picturesque Regency market town of Lymington, which is
ideally situated for exploring the delights of the New Forest and the neighbouring historic towns of Winchester, Portsmouth and Salisbury.
Wonderfully positioned on the
coast, Lymington is surrounded by outstanding natural
beauty as well as numerous historical sites such as Henry the
8th's castle at Hurst Spit and Buckler's Hard where many of
Nelson's ships were built. Lymington is one of the main car
ferry departure points to the Isle of Wight, being situated at
the western end of the Solent, the sheltered strip of water that
draws sailors from all over the UK and beyond. Lymington is one
of the world's premier sailing resorts and has two large
marinas.
In Stanwell House
New Forest Hotel
every surface and fabric bursts with fruity, jewelled shades of
vibrant colour. Velvets and silks adorn windows and cover plump
cushions. Burnished bare boards and York stone flags create
stylish floors. An eclectic mix of prints and antiques
fill the rooms with a riot of images, and even on the dreariest
winter day the spirits soar.
We pride
ourselves on friendly, unobtrusive yet efficient service. The
ambience is gentle, romantic, decadent at times but always
relaxing. There is no dress code, well-behaved children and pets
are welcome, special diets are catered for and drinks from the
bar are available 24 hours.
We have
29?? bedrooms and 5 suites all with colour television,
tea/coffee facilities, direct-dial telephone and hair drier. We
also have a two bedroom cottage in a quiet court adjacent to the
hotel.
Stanwell House
New Forest Hotel is also ideal for weddings
and conferences with up to umpteen?? guests. Alternatively you could hire the whole Hotel for
your exclusive use, which is ideal for family reunions, club or society weekends-away, or
prestigious business social events
We look forward to
welcoming you to the New Forest.
