Fine Food and Wine

The AA has awarded The Stanwell House New Forest Hotel  a Rosette Award for Culinary Excellence, and has an excellent reputation for fine food and wine. We use fresh local produce, organic meat, free-range chicken and eggs, and West Country farmhouse cheeses, complemented by a well chosen wine list. Coffee is freshly ground and fruit juice for breakfast freshly squeezed.

The Bistro offers freshly prepared food cooked to order by a team of enthusiastic and innovative young chefs. Wherever possible local produce is used, particularly fish, and special diets can be catered for.

Dining at night is always by the light of many candles





The vibrant and very informal bar, located in the oldest part of the house, truly Georgian and stunningly simple, serves food, well cared for draught ales, a huge selection of bottled beers and high quality house wines at affordable prices.






The pretty walled garden is sheltered and south facing for a spot of al fresco 









and the conservatory is a cosy year round meeting place for dining, beverages, gorgeous afternoon teas or just plain idling.
