Babette is a composite of two different illustrations from 1948. This two-piece bathing suit is sewn in sky blue, creme and black plaid, poly-rayon broadcloth. Bikini gathers at side bust and pleats at center front set into mitered band at lower bust. High waisted shorts feature inset yoke mirroring the peak of the bikini for a slimming silhouette.
