Route for 2008 Bike Ride Around Stanwood
Davis Carlson Memorial Foundation
Inspired by the LIFE of Davis, I have decided to ride my bicycle out on the open road. I plan on starting on Camano Island, and traveling east for 23 days. Why 23 days? Davis always wore the number 23, just like his father and his grandfather. His sister Taylor also wears 23. It is our family number. I know this will be a tough event to conquer, but with Davis's strength, I shall persevere.
Money raised from this ride will go towards building a community center for kids. Kids in Stanwood truly have nowhere to hangout. I'd like to offer that to our community.
I plan on starting on Camano Island, at Davis Slough, and taking a route through Spokane, into Montana, down through Yellowstone, through the Black Hills, and to a little town named Davis, South Dakota.
