Figure 6.19 Complementary DC Coupled Amplifier. In this diagram Vcc is at the top and ground is at the bottom. On the left are two input terminals. The bottom one is grounded and the top one is coupled to the base of Q1 by C1. Q1 is an N P N BJT. There are two resistors connected to the base of Q1. R1 is a 910 k ohm and connects to Vcc. R2 is a 100 k ohm and connects to ground. The collector of Q1 connects through R3, 1 k ohm, to Vcc. The collector of Q1 also connects to the base of Q2, a P N P BJT. The emitter of Q2 goes to Vcc. The collector of Q2 goes through R4, 910 ohm then R5 100 ohm to ground. The junction of R4 and R5 connects to the emitter of Q1. The collector of Q2 also is coupled to the output by capacitor C2.
