Figure 6.18, Two-stage DC Coupled Amplifier. In this diagram Vcc is at the top and ground is at the bottom. On the left are two input terminals. The bottom one is grounded and the top one is coupled to the base of Q1 by C1. There are two resistors connected to the base of Q1 but we will return to them later. The emitter of Q1 goes to ground through R4. The collector goes to Vcc through R3. The collector of Q1 also connects directly to the base of Q2. The emitter of Q2 goes to ground through the parallel combination of R6 and C2. The emitter of Q2 also connects to one end of R1. The other end of R1 connects to the base of Q1. The base of Q1 goes to ground through R2. The collector of Q2 goes to Vcc through R5. Signal at the collector of Q2 is coupled through C3 to the load resistor, RL. End verbal description.
