Figure 6.17, Two Stage Common Emitter Amplifier. In this figure Vcc is at the top and ground is at the bottom. On the left there are two input terminals. The bottom one is grounded and the top one goes to one end of a capacitor, C1. The other end of C1 goes to the base of Q1. The base is biased by a resistor from Vcc to the base and another resistor from base to ground. All resistors in this schematic have neither values nor R numbers. The emitter of Q1 goes to ground through a resistor. This resistor is bypassed by a capacitor, C2. The collector of Q1 goes to Vcc through a resistor. The collector of Q1 is coupled to the base of Q2 by C3. The base of Q2 is biased by two resistors in the same manner as the base of Q1. The emitter and collector of Q2 are connected through resistors to ground and VCC respectively in the same way as Q1. The emitter of Q2 is bypassed to ground by C4, and C5 couples signal from the collector of Q2 to a resistor, RL. End verbal description.
