Figure 4B.17. In part eh there is a triode with its cathode grounded. The grid goes to ground through a resistor. The plate connects to one end of the coil. The center tap of the coil goes to B plus. The other end of the coil goes through a capacitor to the grid. There is a variable capacitor connected from one end of the coil to the other.

In part B the tube has its cathode connected to a tap on the coil. The tap is much closer to the lower end than it is to the top. The bottom of the coil is grounded. The top of the coil goes through a capacitor to the grid of the tube. The top of the coil goes through a variable capacitor to ground. There is a resistor from the grid of the tube to ground. The plate goes to B plus. End of verbal description.
