Figure 4B.14. The base diagram of the 6E5 magic eye tube looks like a twin triode with one cathode for both triodes. The heater is connected to pins 1 and 6. The cathode, pin 5, is grounded. The grid of the left hand triode, pin 3, goes to the upper input terminal, the lower input terminal is grounded. The plate of the left hand triode, pin 2, goes through a 2.2 meg ohm resistor to B plus. The grid of the right hand triode is connected inside the tube to the plate of the left hand triode. The plate of the right hand triode, pin 4, is connected to B plus. This plate is refered to as the target. End of verbal description.
