TAMWORTH FLY SHOOTS

The first Fly shoot was organised and run by Ross Freestone. With the assistance of the Fullbore club he was able to use the Dungowan/Peel River Club range. The Championships are shot over 2 days on the June long weeekend. 200m Rimfire is on Saturday and 500m Centrefire on Sunday. There are only 10 benches but each year over 25 shooters compete in each class. Ross ran it for 4 years then handed it over to Mark Tallar. The centrefire match is one of the events included in the Shooter Of The Year Trophy (SOTY)
