Dear Team Managers,
Here are the costs for this years FF1 championship (50 mil total spend). Team calculators should have been emailed to you directly.
In line with the F1 rule - drivers will score 20 points for a win, then 18 for 2nd, 16 for 3rd, 15 for 4th, 14 for 5th, 13 for 6th, 12 for 7th and 11 for 8th.
Drivers get 1extra point for every place they make up from their qualifying grid slot.
Drivers also get minus points for early retirements -5 for first retirement - down to -1 for 5th retirement.
Chassis get points for finishing in the top 8 places (only first chassis per team counts) and also receive negatives for retiring in the first 5 teams out.
Engines score for being in the top 8 places (only the first engine per team counts) and no retirement penalties
Tyres - the pole tyre gets 2 points and race winning tyre 5 points.
Unlike the FIA rule all competing cars must still be mobile on the final lap of the race to be counted as a finisher.
FF1 teams get a 5 point bonus for winning a race, 3 points for coming 2nd and 1 for 3rd...
That's all there is to it. Teams have to be submitted by Wednesday 3rd March. Any team not electing to play this season - please let me know ASAP. Any team not entered by the 4th will be considered eliminated and a replacement squad signed up. Teams come in a first-come-first picked order - if your racing components match another already picked you will have to change your selection (or bribe your rival to change team)...
Bernie will doubtless be in touch with regards where to send the cash - £5 (none of your Euros, shekels or randcids). I thinks that's it - if not contact either me or Bernie at the usual addresses..
Keep Racing,
Max Mosley Cinderby,
