To Whom It May Concern:
I graduated April 30 from West Virginia Wesleyan College
with both a Master of Business Administration Degree and a Bachelor of Science
Degree with dual majors in International Business and Economics. I am interested in a position with your
company because I share the values and the mission of the organization. It is essential when looking for a job to
find an opportunity about which you feel passionately. This position is one where I could contribute
my skills to a growing and successful organization and have a zeal for what is
being accomplished.
Team-based experiences I have pursued include
the development and oversight of a fundraising project whose goal is to provide
African tribal women with a small personal income for the first time in their
lives, based on producing and selling native crafts. I created the first Intern Training Manual for use by Business Network International,
volunteered for a service team with Food
for the Hungry in Nicaragua,
and have been an active participant in the international business preparation
program - Students In Free Enterprise.
I have taken the initiative to venture
beyond the classroom and build skills in projects and programs that have
meaning and value. All of these
experiences have allowed me the opportunity to grow as an individual and to develop
the keys essential for success in the business world. Some of these skill sets include:
- Leadership: Among classmates,
peers, and fellow employees
- Communication: Skills: Written /
Oral One-to-Group / Oral One-to-One
- Teamwork: Effective goal
achievement in a plural setting
- Adaptability: Flexibility in meeting the
needs of a fluid environment
- Responsibility: Finding a way to make it all
happen - no matter what
As an intern with Business Network
International I learned the importance of business
relationships as opposed to business
transactions. Through Business
Network International I experienced firsthand the intense impact that intentional
relationship-building can have on business.
I now realize that doing business is not something that is necessarily
impersonal or abrasive; rather, it can be a positive experience where dynamic relationships
between individuals and organizations are formed.
I have demonstrated to you that I possess
the passion, initiative, and skills to move into a position with your
organization. I hope you will allow me
to work for you and be a part of your professional team. I enclose my resume for your review, and look
forward to scheduling a conversation to discuss how I can contribute to your
operations. You can reach me at (910)
545-0085. Thank you so very much for
your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Emily Maditz
