A new laundry

For the recruit

Now their own they'll wash

What a hoot

The whites go together

The darks do the same

We Moms call this wash

By any other name

But when in the service

A tune they'll be humming

The dirties  will go

Where it says incoming

No quarters are needed

The soaps on the shelves

Sometimes they're so dirty

They walk in by themselves

But as the slogan goes

Proud to be a Marine

Now even prouder

They got a washing machine !
