Good ol' Glory

Red, white and blue

Without our wonderful flag

Would you know what to do

 

Every time I see our flag

Or a soldier returning from the war

I fill with such pride

That only I would know

 

You see I have seen so much

In my 50 years

That some had brought me happiness

And others drove me to tears

 

So come this Memorial Day

This one more special then the rest

For I know more than one enlisted

And they just give their best

 

Some went over to Iraq

And some did not return

But what they've done for you and this country

In your memory should burn

 

So this weekend while you laugh

And celebrate

Take a moment to stop and reflect

Remember our enlisted & give them their due respect
