They volunteer

Because they can

They join right up

They understand

Now most of us

Give our support

But there are others

Well they hold their court

Don't they get it

Not understand

That is why

We are a free land

They ship out quick

And our tears we save

Because we don't want them to worry

Our enlisted the brave

We wave with smiles

As we recoup

I for one

Support our troops

We love our soldiers

As our eyes grow misted

But we know what they do

For they are our enlisted
