The following photographs are of the East Woods area of the Morton Arboretum. This roughly 15-acre zone is inhabited largely by Ash trees and very light ground cover. The plants to be removed are not so evident in the photographs as they might be, since their growing season is still in progress. As demonstrated by the appearance of the photographs, however, the three basic means of removal will need to be:

-Pulling small plants on the ground by hand.
-Cutting larger plant stems and branches with a saw.
-Removing larger objects such as invasive tree species with a Pulaski.

Photographs taken by David Westfall, April 2006.
