Shara Cohen

Shara Cohen was the beautiful sixteen year old daughter of a goat herder. She was the last of three daughters born to Joseph and his wife Delia, and the only one left at home. Her two older sisters were married and had lives of their own. Joseph was never blessed with a son to take over his herd, so Shara was his last hope. She had many suitors asking for her hand in marriage, but Joseph was reluctant to part with her. He was getting along in years and couldn't tend the herd on his own. He was hoping to find her a husband that would be willing to live there with her and take care of his animals. But none of them wanted to give up their own lives to herd goats. Even though Shara was a very desirable young woman. Her 5 foot 5 inch female body was very well proportioned. And her brown hair and hazel eyes enhanced her feminine beauty just perfectly. She so much wanted to find a wealthy man who would love her with all his heart and shower her with expensive gifts. But Shara loved her mother and father dearly, so she obeyed his wishes. She was left with only her dreams while she tended her fathers goats. She never gave up hope that such a man would come along some day. But until he did, Shara would herd goats and keep her father happy.

Finding a suitable husband for Shara wasn't the only thing on Joseph's mind. There was very heavy rumors floating around that the Philistines were forming a massive army to march against the Israelites. If they were true, Joseph's way of life was in dire jeopardy. If the Philistines took over the country, they would confiscate his goats and he and his family would become slaves. He prayed that king Saul was taking the rumors seriously and preparing to meet the Philistines on equal terms. But other then praying, there wasn't much else Joseph could do. He was to old to fight and certainly wasn't a warrior anyway. A few weeks later, his fears became a reality. Word quickly spread across the country side that the Philistines were marching on Israel. And by the best estimate of the scouts, they had nearly two hundred thousand men. Even with help from neighboring Countries, the largest army King Saul could mount to encounter them was a little over seventy thousand. Things looked very bleak indeed. Women were not held in high esteem when it came to discussing matters such as politics or war. So armies and battles were not on the mind of the beautiful Shara. Her head was still filled with thoughts of a handsome and wealthy husband. One that would love her to eternity.

The land was suffering through a terrible drought that year and water was a scarce commodity. The small well on her parents land barely produced enough water each day for the family to get by. But Joseph and his family were Christian people and never turned anyone away in need of help. That charitable nature was about to change their lives forever. Just before sunrise one morning, Shara was drawing water from the well. A stranger happened by and asked if he might have a drink of water to quench his thirst. Without a second thought, Shara dipped up a cup full of water and handed it to the stranger. The stranger smiled at her generosity and poured the water back in the bucket. "My dear child. That simple Christian act proves you are the woman I have been seeking. I am an Angel of the Lord and I am here to make your dreams come true. I am going to give you two choices. When you decide which choice you prefer, I will bestow upon you a task. Once that task is completed, you will have everything your heart desires." "Please kind sir. I don't have time for silly games. I must finish my household chores and tend to my fathers goat herd." Shara politely told him. "Ah, I see you don't believe me. Then what's the harm in playing my silly game as you call it. Finish your chores and I will meet you in the valley where you tend your goats. We will continue our discussion there."

Shara was sitting on a large boulder watching her goats and dreaming of her loving man. The stranger came over the hill and slowly approached her. "Are you ready to make your choice my child?" He asked. "Please sir. I am really busy. Why don't you find some other girl to play your game?" She replied. "Shara my child. You are sitting on a rock and dreaming about a wealthy husband who will love you until the end of time. That hardly qualifies as being busy." He said with a charming smile. "How do you know of my dreams?" She asked with a shocked look on her beautiful face. "I told you my child. I am an Angel. I know everything. Now humor me and perform one small test so I can convince you." Shara was intrigued so she slid off of the rock and waited. "Jump in the air for me please." He asked. Shara shrugged her shoulders and jumped about a foot off of the ground. The man passed his hand over her head and smiled. "Now please jump for me again." Shara shook her head at his silly game and jumped again using the same amount of effort. But this time she went four feet in the air. When she landed on her feet she was speechless. "Good. Now we can continue. I will give you two choices my child. Choose one of them if you would please." Shara slowly shook her head yes, to acknowledge she understood.

"Would you prefer to have fame, wealth, beauty and tragedy. Or happiness, wealth, beauty, and obscurity?" It took Shara only a second to choose. All she ever wanted was happiness with possibly a little wealth thrown in. And besides, who in their right mind would pick tragedy. "I would prefer the second one kind sir." She replied. "Very well. Complete the task I am about to bestow upon you and they are yours. The Philistines are marching toward Israel at this very moment. When they get to the valley of Elah they will pitch camp. Are you following me so far my child?" Shara nodded yes, wondering what all of this had to do with her. "King Saul will take his army out to defend the city. He will camp within two miles of the Philistines and wait to see what they will do. The Philistines have a great champion by the name of Goliath. He will issue a challenge to King Saul to send out a warrior to engage him in battle. The army of the warrior who loses that battle must lay down their arms and surrender to the victor. Goliath will issue his challenge once at sunrise and once at sunset for forty days. Your task my child, is to fight Goliath on the thirty ninth night and considerably weaken him. You must not kill Goliath. Just soften him up so a mere stone will fell him."

"YOU WANT ME TO FIGHT GOLIATH? I'M A FEMALE GOAT HERDER AND HE'S A TEN FOOT TALL MIGHTY WARRIOR! ARE YOU CRAZY?" Shara shockingly asked. "Actually he's only nine and a half feet tall." The Angel said smiling. "Don't worry Shara, I'm going to help by training you. You will be strong, swift, agile, and unbeatable when I'm through. I will show you his weaknesses and how to exploit them. All you have to do is accept that you can do it and everything will be fine." Shara started to open her mouth and protest again. Then she remembered how he made her jump four feet in the air with a wave of his hand. She was suddenly very calm. "I accept." She said. "Good my child. I will be here tomorrow morning to start your training." He said as he started to leave. "If you can make me jump higher by merely passing your hand over my head, why not simply give me the fighting skills I need to defeat Goliath?" Shara questioned. "It doesn't work that way my child. I can enhance your God given abilities like strength, agility, speed, and stamina, because they are a part of your body and soul. But knowledge is in your mind. I can enter your mind for a short period of time to advise you. But you would go insane if I were to linger there to long. Knowledge you must obtain on your own. I can help you obtain that knowledge by training you." The Angel explained. "So until tomorrow morning, I bid you farewell."

Every morning the Angel met her in that valley and trained her. Shara was intelligent and a very quick study. He taught her to anticipate her opponents next move and how to counter it. How to put the weight of her whole body into a punch and how to punch through her target to achieve maximum effect. He taught her how to avoid being hit and explained how to turn that to her advantage. After she learned the moves he taught her, he used his staff as a weapon and attacked so she could practice using the moves. It greatly helped Shara gain some experience. In a very short time, using the moves became second nature to her. She could do them blind folded if need be. Then the Angel drew diagrams in the sand to show Shara his weaknesses and how to exploit them. The mighty Goliath had three major weak spots. One of course was his large balls. The second was his kidney. Because of his great height, the gaps between his ribs were larger then a normal mans. That left his kidney more exposed and easier to strike. The final weak spot was on his fore head between his eyes. "That spot is where you must make your last strike before the battle is ended. Is that clear my child?" He asked. "Yes. I understand perfectly." Shara replied. With the enhanced abilities she possessed, Shara quickly became a lethal fighting machine. "You are ready my child. Tomorrow is the thirty ninth day of Goliath's challenge. You will battle him tomorrow night at midnight. Remember, do not kill him. And listen carefully. I will be in your mind to help you if you need me. Now go."

With the armies camped two miles apart, Goliath pitched his two tents exactly in the middle, one mile from each side. His tents were pitched together with the two sides touching each other not staked down. That way he could stretch his nine and a half foot length through the two tents and be completely covered. At midnight, Shara approached his tents dressed as a Philistine harlot so she wouldn't draw attention to herself. When she opened the flap and peeked inside, she gasped at the sight of his large, naked body. His penis was so long and thick, she thought she would die if he were to penetrate her with it. She smiled and came up with a plan to weaken him before the battle. Shara removed his sword from it's scabbard and laid it aside. Then she shook Goliath until he awakened. He automatically reached for his sword to slay the intruder, but it was gone. "No mighty Goliath, you don't want to kill me. I am here to please you my strong, handsome warrior." She grabbed his large penis in both of her small hands and began stroking it. Seeing she was a Philistine harlot and was giving him pleasure, Goliath lie back down. Shara milked the giant until he spilled his seed all over the ground. While he lie there with a satisfied grin on his face, Shara punched him in the balls. "SMACK!"

She quickly escaped through the flap of the tent as Goliath roared and leaped to his feet. Both tents were ripped up out of the ground when he rose. The one that was covering his upper body was clinging to his head. He reached up to snatch it off and searched for the harlot who had dared to strike him. The Philistines were used to Goliath and his crazy antics. So when they heard the loud roar coming from his direction, they completely ignored it. The Israelites also heard the roar, but were to scared to investigate and see what was happening. When Goliath spotted the harlot on the ground his mighty arm swooped down to grab her up. Shara easily avoided his huge arm and swiftly stepped forward to drill him in his large stomach. "THUD!..THUD!" When Goliath grunted and slightly bent over from the blows, Shara leaped up and landed a right left combination to his unprotected face. "SMACK!..SMACK!" She quickly darted away before Goliath could get his bearings and grab her. The mighty giant roared again and lowered both arms to get hold of Shara. He was going to squash her between his magnificently strong hands. But Shara was as agile as a monkey with her new abilities. She dove over his two hands and somersaulted to her feet. When the move was completed, she was right below him.

She leaped up on his left thigh with her right foot and used it as a spring board. As she sprung up, she threw a hay maker uppercut that exploded on Goliath's chin. "CRRRACK!" It straightened the giant up and knocked him back a few steps. Goliath was really angry now. He beat on his chest with both large fists and roared even louder then before. Shara never heard him roar this time, because the Angel was speaking in her mind. "You have learned your lessons well my child. I am very proud of you." Shara looked at Goliath and smiled. She decided a little taunting would really anger the giant warrior and make him fight like a crazy man without thinking. "The mighty Goliath may be big, but he fights poorly. It's a good thing I'm not a champion of the Israelites. Your army would be crying for their mothers while they lay down their weapons and surrendered." It worked like she planned. She could see his face turn red from embarrassment by the light of his fires. Goliath took a large step forward and swung his mighty fist down to crush her frail female body. Shara easily side stepped his attempt and was standing at his side. "THUD!..THUD!..THUD!..THUD!" Her solid punches blasted his ribs and struck his kidney twice. Goliath grunted and leaned to that side to relieve the pain. She quickly switched to his face.

"SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!" His left eye, temple, jaw, and mouth were in pain. Shara scurried away and smiled at the big man. "The all powerful Goliath is getting beaten silly by a mere maiden. I would expect your King would be very ashamed of you if he were to find out." Shara taunted. This time Goliath growled and lifted his thick leg to stomp on the irritating female who was driving him crazy. Shara took a step to her right and leaped straight in the air. "SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!" Both eyes were in pain, along with his nose, mouth, and chin. Shara gracefully landed on her feet and slipped away. Shara was so swift the great Goliath couldn't turn his large head fast enough to keep up with her. She darted left, then right, then left again. Goliath was getting cross eyed trying to find her. When she had him totally confused, she attacked with vicious rights and lefts. "SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!" The battle tested Goliath was retreating from the female tigress and her devastating hard fists. Punch after punch found it's target while he was doing his best to find her. But before he could turn his massive frame in that direction, the sleek fighting female was gone. "THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!"

Goliath was about to lose his mind. Her rapier fists would strike him on one side, and by the time he turned to engage her she was striking the other. His mountainous body was being chopped down and he couldn't do anything to stop it. He never encountered a problem like this before and was completely lost on how to solve it. "SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!" The young maiden was making him look like an incompetent fool. And he couldn't catch up to her to change the inevitable outcome. All seemed lost. But Goliath had been in many battles and had a reputation as a fierce warrior. As hopeless as the situation looked, the great Goliath never surrendered to anyone. One punch would crush the small female and victory would be his. It was just a matter of time before he landed that battle ending punch. He could take the punishment and wait her out. It was sound thinking and perfect strategy he thought. But it hinged on landing that one punch. That never happened. "SMACK!..SMACK!..THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!" Shara continued to break him down and taunt his pathetic efforts to stop her. "Some champion you are Goliath. I'm handling you like a two year old boy. You'll soon be crying like one too. You're so pathetic. I'm beginning to feel guilty beating you senseless."

Shara had ample opportunities to punch him in the balls. But she wanted the giant warrior to know she beat him without exploiting any advantage by striking a vulnerable area. Besides, she was enjoying herself making Goliath look like a helpless little boy. "Maybe you should give up this battle and go back to sleep Goliath. Because your fighting skills are absolutely useless." She taunted as she smiled. That drove Goliath over the edge. His large muscular arms began throwing heavy punches with reckless abandon. But Shara easily eluded his fruitless attempts and laughed in his face while she was doing it. After missing the agile young woman with at least fifty murderous punches, Goliath's mighty swings were as weak as a kitten. When his large arms tired and his punches turned feeble, Shara opened up her offense. Her attacks were so quick and precise, the giant didn't stand a chance of catching her before she would slither away. "SMACK!..SMACK!..THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!" Shara worked on his huge body and over sized head with extreme accuracy. His face was beginning to swell and his magnificent body was starting to sag. Shara kept up the pressure. "SMACK!..THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!" Her small female fists were striking with the power of a kicking stallion. Each blow sapped his God like strength and forced loud grunts to escape his swollen mouth. "THUD!..THUD!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!..SMACK!"

By the time she stopped her barrage of accurate thunderous punches, Goliath was barely able to stand. His ribs felt cracked, his kidney felt ruptured, and his face was a swollen mass of cuts, bruises, and abrasions. He didn't even have the strength to roar. Shara admired the handy work her solid fists had made of his pitiful looking face and battered body. The mighty Goliath was staggering around on noodle like legs and looked as if a slight breeze might topple him over. The confident young gladiator stepped in front of him with her small hands splayed on her slender hips. The fearless warrior threw a right cross in hopes it would land and kill the female demon who was taking him apart. But his great strength had been completely sapped from his enormous body. Shara slapped the feeble punch down like it was an annoying insect. The mighty Goliath dropped to his knees and broke down. His large head drooped to his barrel like chest and he began crying. Shara curled the strong fingers of her left hand in his tunic and jerked his swollen face up to hers. She looked into his frightened black eyes and knew she had broken him. There was nothing there but absolute fear. "You are such a wimp Goliath. I am but a mere maiden and you cower at my touch. Maybe the Philistines should find themselves a true champion. Because you mighty Goliath are an impostor. You fight like a sissy and cry like a baby. You should be ashamed of yourself."

The Angel whispered in her ear. "The sun is rising my child. Strike the final blow and end your battle." Shara held Goliath steady and took dead aim at the spot between the giants eyes. She saw the fear spread across his large face and smiled. "SMMMACK!" She twisted her solid female fist when she struck the spot and Goliath dropped to his hands when she released him. The two combatants had fought for nearly six hours. "The sun is about to rise Goliath. Go issue your challenge to the Israelites." She ordered. "I'm not sure I can." He weakly replied. "You have battered my body to the point of sheer exhaustion." "You'll be fine Goliath. You have challenged them for thirty nine days and they have not sent a champion out to fight you. Now go." Shara told him. A young shepherd boy was delivering roasted grain and bread to his brothers on the battlefield when he heard Goliath roar out his challenge. It made him so angry he sought out King Saul and asked to be allowed to meet Goliath's challenge. The King was skeptical. But young David convinced him after telling the King of his victorious encounters with a bear and Lion. David rejected the Kings offer of weapons and armor and went out to meet Goliath armed with only a slingshot and five smooth stones. Goliath saw the shepherd boy coming to face him with no weapons and burst out laughing. David calmly placed a stone in his slingshot and let it fly.

The smooth stone struck Goliath right between the eyes in the exact spot Shara had delivered her last punch. Instead of bouncing off, it embedded itself in his fore head. The giant warrior's eyes rolled back in their sockets and he was dead before he hit the ground. David removed his sword from it's scabbard and cut off the mighty Goliath's head. Then he held it in the air for everyone to see. When the Philistines saw their great champions severed head, they dropped their weapons and fled. The Israelite army pursued the Philistines screaming out their victory. They ran the Philistines out of their land in a hurry. When all of the soldiers had vanished from the battlefield, a young maiden approached David. A feeling came over him that he couldn't explain. He felt compelled to give the severed head of Goliath to the young maiden. Shara heard the Angel whisper in her ear to take the severed head, so she complied. She didn't know why. But after everything that had transpired she trusted the Angel. While Shara was on her way home, something fell from the mouth of Goliath's head. She reached down and picked it up. Her beautiful face lit up when she realised she was holding a perfectly shaped ruby. When she held the head up and looked in it's mouth, more perfect rubies fell out. Smiling to herself, she happily skipped towards home. About half way there something else fell from the severed head. This time she clutched a fabulous emerald tightly in her hand. On further inspection, more emeralds dropped out and hit the ground. Shara was delirious with joy.

Just out of curiosity, she checked the mouth of the severed head when she was three quarters of the way home. To her delight, it was filled with perfectly shaped sapphires this time. A wonderful feeling of happiness spread over her lovely female body. When she topped the hill and her home came into view, she checked the head one last time. Beautiful diamonds spilled out into her waiting hand. She thanked the Angel in her mind and scurried on home. Shara and her family became one of the wealthiest in the land. The skull of Goliath continued to dole out jewels to her, even after the flesh and hair was long gone. The skull was never suspected of being her source of wealth, so she was never robbed. Young David was heralded as the hero of the battle between the Philistines and the Israelites. He grew up wealthy and eventually became King. Sadly, his life ended in tragedy. No one ever remember the young maiden being on the battlefield that day. Not even David. Shara found a man who loved her with all of his heart and she was very happy. She retained her beauty well into her later years and was the envy of women everywhere. Her dreams all came true because of an unselfish act. She offered a perfect stranger a drink of water to quench his thirst, when water was scarce and very valuable. Because of that one little sacrifice, the beautiful Shara lived happily ever after.
