05th April 2006: Tupac Wax Sculpture Is Unvaile Today:
Tupac Amaru Shakur was today (5th April) the
first rap star to become immortalised in wax.
The highly anticipated sculture was today
unveiled at the world famous Madame
Tussauds at the glorious Venetian Hotel in Las
Vegas, USA. The wax sculpture is part of the
brand-new “Tupac Eternal” exhibit that is the
latest contemporary addition to the gallery.
The unvieling comes only a few months after
Tupac was remembered through a bronze
statue bieng erected outside the Tupac Amaru
Shakur Center of Arts.
The wax figure captures the famous image
of a shirtless Shakur wearing a bandana and
showing his tattoos, Tupac joins superstars
such as James Brown , Mick Jagger , Elton
John, Prince and others as life-like wax
statues. Adrian Jones, general manager of
Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, said the decision to immortalize Skakur came
from public demand.
"We have received more requests from the public to immortalize Tupac than
any other rap star," Jones said. "It is fitting that he will be the central
figure in
our new 'On Stage' attraction, which will offer the public a new high-tech
system for enjoying the music of all the stars in the attraction."
Tupac's sister, Set, was one of the people there to unviel and promote
the
attraction and above you can see an image of the finished sculture. The
image

the
long process of construction.
