TR Project Proposal

Purpose

The project that I propose to accomplish is a single phase A.C. to D.C. variable rectifier using an SCR bridge rectifier, using cosine firing. The goal is to use a micro controller to observe the incoming phase and according to a user specified phase angle, signal the SCR Bridge so that it starts to conduct voltage and produce a DC output voltage. The range of variance is to be 180 degrees of the AC voltage to produce a variable DC output.
