Honorable Senators and Congressmen of the United States of America,
My name is Bobbi Johnson, a 46 year-old woman in Minnesota. I have never been in the military, but I know the value of those who have. This country’s very foundation is built on the blood, courage and fortitude of the men and women that served/serve this country and served/serve it proudly.
In speaking to Veterans for the better portion of my life I’ve heard the same disheartening statements from them as to how their families seem to be neglected when the soldier serves. And… should the soldier die, the family is forgotten. This ought not to be. It is through their angst and my stubbornness that I write to you today.
I present to you a prospectus on
The Crimson Rose. Here is the medal web site, its ‘details’ and a petition (a mere fledgling) that I hope you will seriously consider and have the good judgment to decide to incorporate into the soldier’s interment proceedings. Please go to the site, it explains everything…

The Crimson Rose was developed by Veterans as a way of means for the government of the United States of America to thank the parent or spouse who lose their soldier while he/she is in service to this country.
It’s America’s way of saying,
“This can’t replace your loss, but we appreciate your sacrifice.”
Like the
Purple Heart (Badge of Military Merit) instituted by General George Washington on August 7, 1782…
The Crimson Rose will quietly, yet elegantly, remind the family just what they gave in order to keep this country free.
Isn’t it time they received it?
I ask, as an American citizen and a true patriot, that you do not dismiss this as only you, the legislative body, can bring this medal to fruition.
Please… do so!
Thank you for your attention to this,
Bobbi Johnson
