The golf course at Costa Ballena is a 27-hole golf course and 9 par threes. Designed by D. José Mª Olazábal. It is also a PGA venue.

Costa Ballena is located in the province of Cadiz--the western most area of Spain--near the ancient and world famous sherry vineyards of Jerez and Carthusian horse stables, which is the origin of the acclaimed Andalusian horses. This area is also the birthplace of the purest and richest Mediterranean folklore-flamenco. Local gastronomy is also proverbial. The richest cultural and architectural heritage combine values provided by development and modern technology to create a unique area that is well communicated with three international airports in the area (Jerez, Seville and Gibraltar). Modern expressways connect the area with European networks through Seville and Madrid. The AVE high speed train is less than an hour away at the Seville train station.

Sierra Nevada is four hours away if you want to spend a day on the slopes of a top class ski resort- Seville and Cadiz both boast Liga teams if you want to catch a football match during your stay.Donana National Park is near by.
