The Central Kentucky Wrestling Conference was established in 2006 for five middle school teams in the state of Kentucky. The initial members were: Anderson County, Bourbon County, Franklin County, LaRue County and Woodford County. The first conference tournament was hosted by Franklin County in 2007.
