Taurus spends his spare time this evening with The Believers relating to them stories of the Gods of Light. Hopfully gathering a small 'flock' to hear tales of how good and justice triumphs over evil and lawlessness.
Hawkeye glances over and Taurus and his small throng of followers
Hawkeye: Leave it to Taurus to find people to preach to
Vexin Sixtoes: Hey guys, guess what? It's going to SNOW!
Vexin Sixtoes: Possibly even tomorrow morning!
Vexin Sixtoes: Weeeee!
Elistan listen's intently and helps to encourage others to listen to Taurus' words
Jeren: Sometimes the people need to hear words of truth in this age Bayard. You should be proud of Taurus that he has the strength to speak those words
Vexin Sixtoes bounces around the party, gleefully chirping about playing in the snow
Hawkeye ponders the kenders statement, realizing how hard it will be to feed and shelter 800 people without the fact it's going ot snow..
Hawkeye: It's not those people he should preach to though, jeren
Hawkeye gestures to the mob of Seekers on the other side of the camp
Jeren quriks an eyebrow at Vexin's mention of snow. "How do you know?"
Vexin Sixtoes: I cast a spell, silly
Vexin Sixtoes: I'm a powerful Druid!
Gilthanas approaches the rest of the group with Riverwind by his side.
Vexin Sixtoes: And dragonslayer, but that has little to do with weather prediction
Jeren gives Vexin a small smile, "Ah, foolish of me to forget Vexin, forgive me"
Gilthanas: Riverwind and I have done a tally of what we have. The refugees managed to carry off some supply carts with them in our flight to the mountain pass. We have enough blankets for everone.
Vexin Sixtoes beams at Jeren and rides around the encampment on Skitters, proudly declaring the predition of snow
Riverwind: But we only have enough food for everyone for 2 days. There are some skilled hunters who should be able to supply food for a little over half of us
Riverwind: after that, we will run out of food...
Taurus: ...And so he pressed a scrap of metal into man's hand and said. 'lo, this is my blood and with it you will be granted life and with it you may feed and defend your children.'
Taurus goes on and on and on.
Hawkeye nods grimly, looking out over the ragtag band of refugees wondering what they're going to do
Jeren: I am no hunter, but I will do my best to help with the foraging... How long do you suppose it will take us to get these people to safety?
Gilthanas Looks around at the barran mountain landscape and shakes his head to Jeren
Gilthanas: Shelter and food are the two most important things, but we have to remember, the Dragon armies might give chase. I doubt Verminaard will be too happy that his prisoners escaped. That is, if he surrvived.
Hawkeye: As much as I hate to say it, even at half rations we may not be able to stretch the food enough to reach the dwarven halls in time. We have to move quickly, I fear
Riverwind nods to Hawkeye's statement
Vexin Sixtoes: Verminface may give chase...
Vexin Sixtoes: And so starts the race
Hawkeye raises an keybrow at the rhyming, merry kender
Taurus glances over towards his companions huddled and discussing the provisions. Smiling back to his 'flock' he rises, "Turn this metal to steel and spill your neighbours blood and I shall curse your children to continue in your misdeeds." He offers a nod, and without furhter
Vexin Sixtoes: away from his mace
Taurus further words approaches his comrades, listening to the situation.
Vexin Sixtoes: to give us some space
Vexin Sixtoes continues his rhyme in a sing-song voice
Hawkeye: I don't think we have much choice. We need to move quickly, and we'll need Vexin's skills to forage as much as he can as we travel
Hawkeye: Perhaps we should keep a hunting party out at all times, pacing us as we travel
Vexin Sixtoes: And yours, Mr. Ranger
Taurus: Then we will leave before sunrise to cut a path for the refugee's. It is our duty to protect them now they are free of their captives.
Hawkeye: More pressing though...
Hawkeye pauses as he tries to grab everyone's attention...
Taurus looks to Hawkeye.
Hawkeye: Does anyone know where the dwarven kingdom even is?
Gilthanas looks to the others
Hawkeye: We could wander these mountains for months without fiding any dwarves
Jeren: Have Faith Hawkeye...
Jeren flashes the ranger a wry grin
Taurus smiles quietly, he couldn't have put it better himself.
Hawkeye smiles slightly at Jeren, not finding it quite as bad coming from her instead of Taurus
Taurus: We should spread word through the camp, find out if there are any among us who might have traded with the hill dwarves. Perhaps Eben and his group would be a logical starting point?
Hawkeye: We should put together a scouting party, maybe twenty strong of some of the plainsman to find traces of these Neidar
Hawkeye nods to Taurus
Taurus: Mayhaps Jeren, you will converse with him?
Hawkeye: Aye, Eben is perhaps a bit more willing to speak to her over us...
Jeren blinks suddenly and glances over toward Eben. "yes. I suppose I can... converse... with the man."
Jeren shakes her head slightly, muttering something under her breath before approaching Eben
Eben glances up to Jeren as he cleans out a tin mug with a cloth
Jeren: Friend Eben, excuse the intrusion. Pray tell me, do you know much about the Dwarven settlements in these mountains?
Jeren tries her best not to appear uncomfortable when speaking to the man
Eben finishes cleaning out his mug before packing it away into his bag. He pulls himself up and surveys the area
Hawkeye: So, taurus, how best to organize these factions while we travel? I sense a lot of anger between the Seekersd and the Believers...
Eben: aye... I know a bit. There aren't any major settlements though.
Taurus: I believe it would be best to have them work together, so they are forced to settle their theological differences.
Hawkeye: Are you sure that's wise though? I don't want a war to start. You saw the looks the Seeker was giving Eben...
Taurus: We will require a group to move at the rear to cover incase of pursurers, likewise a group to the head of the column and its flanks. Keep the move vulnerable to the center.
Jeren gives a slight nod, "Perhaps you would care to come and discuss what you do know with my companions and I? We must find a safe haven for these refugee's... it is our first priority
Hawkeye: I think the folks of the plains would do best in the head of the column
Taurus: If they quarrel in this time of need then they will suffer for their follishness.
Taurus: I agree. But, perhaps, we will split the plainspeople amongst each group to offer their wisdom to all.
Taurus: An experienced tracker and wildernessmen with each detachment of guards.
Hawkeye: As long as they don't start somethign with the Townsfolk...
Hawkeye sighs realizing all the different age long fueds between factions
Taurus: Again. It is important we all work together. If we cannot do this simple task, there is little hope for us to eventually rise up against these invading forces.
Eben (look of regret): You may be hard pressed to convince some of these people here. They don't like the dwarves... or anyone that is not of their own kind. I know the plan is to find Thorbardin, but do you really think the hill dwarves in these mountains are going to tell us, even if they do know
Taurus: Perhaps it will be this one event that brings them all together?
Hawkeye shakes his head slowly
Vexin Sixtoes yawns and rides up to Taurus, tugging on his sleeve
Hawkeye: You saw the council meeting, Taurus. Already they argue and bicker amongst themselves
Taurus: Stranger things have happened.
Taurus: Dragons? Divine powers? for instance?
Taurus pauses, looking down to Vexin.
Taurus: Yes Vexin?
Hawkeye: Aye, and those very things started more arguments
Vexin Sixtoes: I'm bored Taurus, I'm gonna go hunt. Politics is not exciting for Kender
Eben picks up his pack and slings it over his shoulder
Eben: lead on then, Jeren. I'll help any way I can.
Taurus: If you wish Vexin, but we might require your input.
Taurus: After all you are a Kender of nature.
Vexin Sixtoes: For what?
Hawkeye: Perhaps he could talk to the birds and fin-
Hawkeye stops suddenly, going into thought
Taurus glances to Hawkeye then looks back to Vexin.
Taurus: Indeed, perhaps you might assist with scouting through your links with nature?
Vexin Sixtoes: Ok!
Vexin Sixtoes: Scouting is always exciting
Taurus smiles.
Hawkeye nods slowly, barely listening to Taurus as he fiddles with a ring on his right hand, still thinking to himself as Taurus and Vexins talk
Taurus turns back to Hawkeye.
Vexin Sixtoes: Scout now, Taurus?
Taurus: These people will be forced to learn that they will either live together, or die alone.
Taurus: Not yet Vexin, I believe we have nothing to fear this night.
Taurus: In the morning however.
Vexin Sixtoes: Ok
Taurus: Rest, eat, drink. Conserve your strength for the long journey ahead of us.
Hawkeye: I tihnk I may know a way, Taurus...
Hawkeye: To find the dwarves at least..
Taurus: Oh?
Hawkeye: Do you remeber the swamps of Xak Tsaroth?
Jeren furrows her brow at Eben's words. "I believe the desire to survive will prove stronger than any quarrells they may have with each other..." the Paladin sighed slightly and then, with a nod she began to make her way back toward Taurus and the others
Taurus cringes.
Hawkeye: When the dracoanisn were hunting us?
Taurus: Aye.
Hawkeye: Talon can scout for us, far faster and with better vision that any plainsman or.. no offense, kender ever could
Jeren furrows her brow at Eben's words. "I believe the desire to survive will prove stronger than any quarrells they may have with each other..."
Vexin Sixtoes peers off into the darkness, eagerly watching and listening for enemies... riding out into the woods just within earshot of his friends
Hawkeye: May not be able to find the underground kingdoms, but the hill dwarves perhaps?
Taurus: Aye. On the morn put Talon to the task, every set of eyes will be greatly appreciated.
Hawkeye: Aye. Come the morn, we will find the Dwarven Halls.. or at least start...
Taurus: Being well appraised of our environment will serve only to expediate our exidous.
Hawkeye glances over towards Jeren, hoping the paladin was able to find out some information from Eben
Jeren (embarrassed): I know little about terrain and nature really. If you do know of any Path's we may take I suggest you discuss them with Friend Bayard...
Vexin Sixtoes rides back to the party when he notices things winding down for the night, and snuggles up to skitters to go to sleep
Eben (Points to the south): This road leading south will take you straight to the plains of Dergoth. The dwarves aren't going to be that way. Your best bet and finding a settlement is in the side valleys that run parralel to this road here.
Eben: probably to the west...
Taurus: Then to the west it is. Perhaps you will discuss the specifics with Hawkeye, he is more travel minded than we.
Hawkeye: Eben and I can hammer out some details while you all sleep
Taurus nods
The night passes. Although much relieved by their escape, the refugees seem restless. The cold wind picks up and the first sign of snow flakes begin to show as the float to the ground
Taurus: Ensure you get rest, we will need you at your best on the morrow.
GM: everyone make listen checks
Vexin Sixtoes upon waking up shouts
Vexin Sixtoes: I told you there would be snow!
Taurus rises very early, seated in prayer off by himself. Looking somewhat more disturbed, or concerned, than usual.
Hawkeye awakens, rubbing some of the numbnes out of his limbs as he looks around at the small coating of snow on the ground, grumbling about why did the kender have to be right
Vexin Sixtoes: ARMY COMING!
Vexin Sixtoes: Thousands of draconians!
Jeren jumps suddenly, tensed by the sounds of Vexin's cry
some of the refugees near by hear the kender shout and cries spread across the mass of people.
Taurus narrows his eyes on Vexin.
Hawkeye spritns out of his bedroll quickly, drawing both his weapons as he starts shouting to the people near him to gather their thigns and get moving
Hawkeye: How do you know this Vexin?
Vexin Sixtoes: I could kill them all I'm sure, but it's probably better to escape
Vexin Sixtoes: I heard them, can't you hear the sound of thousands of feet and shouting in draconic?
Hawkeye shakes his head, showing that he hears nothing
Hawkeye: Your ears are keener than my, Vexin...
Hawkeye: We need to get everyone off the road.. to the west Taurus
Taurus calmly but hastily packs away a small candle and some incense as he looks around.
Vexin Sixtoes: Well they're coming. Wait and see if I'm worn gif you think YOU could kill thousands of draconians
Taurus: Aye.
Hawkeye: Vexin, can you use your druidic magic to erase the traces of our passage here?
Elistan approaches the group
Taurus looks to Elistan.
Vexin Sixtoes: I have not prepared any such spells... nor am I sure there are any...
Vexin Sixtoes: I can only naturally hide my own tracks
Taurus: Are your people ready to move Elistan?
Elistan: The leaders are organizing the refugees. We will be ready to move.
Taurus: Good. If you have a moment Elistan, might we have a private word?
Vexin Sixtoes: Going to scout now, Taurus
With the light illuminating the pass, you see an ancient but sturdy road of dwarven construction leads south through this valley, still clearly visible even though a light snow is falling. To the west, just a few hundred feet from the road, a mountain ridge climbs up from the valley floor to high, snow-capped peaks. To the east, the valley widens across grasses and trees, slowly being turned white. Far to the eastern part of this valley, off the road, a navigable mountain pass leads east. The road continues along the valley floor as the valley narrows to the southeast.
Taurus: If you find anything interesting Vexin, make sure you come back and tell us quickly!
Elistan: certainly... but I fear we must be hasty in our conversation
Taurus takes Elistan aside, speaking to him in low private tones.
Hawkeye: I'm afraid I don't have the time to use Talon to scout now, Taurus...
Hawkeye turns and starts helping others gather their supplies
Vexin Sixtoes scouts ahead west, as Taurus and Eben indicated the night before
Hawkeye: Jeren, how are the people near you doing?
The refugees take up their meager belongings and begin to Follow Hawkeye and the others
Jeren shakes her head as she hastily shoulders her pack, great sword in hand she moves quickly towards refugees, "Gather your belongings, help your neighbours and be calm." hearing Hawkeye's voice Jeren gives a wave.
Jeren (concerned): "We must help these people and quickly..."
Hawkeye: Aye, but I fear a dogged pursuit will be on our hands shortly, and if Veixn is correct about their numbers...
Hawkeye looks over the refugees,w orry apparant in his face
Taurus heads back to the group after some quick words with Elistan, looking somewhat lighter in his step; if that was possible in full plate.
Gilthanas: We must hurry, but it will take the army some time to get organized. Thousands of troops must pass through the gats of Pax Tharkas. This will buy us some time
Taurus: The snow will work in our favor, it will cover our tracks. Lets move out!
Taurus lets out a wave, signally the column to head out.
Taurus: The gods bless us even in such dire times.
Hawkeye looks at Taurus, and then is struck by a sudden idea
Jeren whispers a quite prayer of thanks to Mishakal
Hawkeye rushes around, yelling at several of the plainsmen to come to his side as quickly as possible
Hawkeye: Cover your tracks, Taurus. I can take some men south, across the bridge, with open tracks.. we can cut off and meet back with you, hopefully leading them astray
Taurus: Great idea Hawkeye. We will unite before noon.
many of the plainsmen look to their leader, Briar, who nods, before running to aid Hawkeye
Taurus: Travel with gods speed, my friend.
Hawkeye: And you, we'll meet up soon
Taurus gives him a quick warriors embrace before he heads off to the west to help guide the refugee's away.
Hawkeye tells the plainsmen to move quickly, dragging their feet slightly to make their tracks not easily determined to be a small group as they rush towards the south
Several hours pass as the Refugees trudge through the snow. The valley is already begining to be choked with the light white powder. The going is slow and hard, but the people seem determined.
Hawkeye after running down for quite some ways, hawkeye signals for the plainsmen to cut off to the west, covering any signs of their trail as best they can, knowing that the plainsmen are no strangers to the ways of the wild. they then turn north, hoping to meet up with the others soon, covering their trail the whole way making the going slower
Taurus trudges through the snow as the white powder lands on his shoulders, cloak draging behind him slightly. Not the fastests of movies but very steady and methodical. Eyes cautiously scanning the area for any sign of trouble.
As the dwarven road continues south through the narrow part of the valley, old monuments and standing stones dot the landscape. Many of the stones have snow-filled runes engraved on them. The standing stones vary in sizesome are just a foot or two tall, some are ten foot monolithic cylinders.
The old Dwarven runes are blessings, invoking the protection of Astarin and Reorx on all who travel the Road of Kith-Kanan. Any magic they may have once contained is long gone.
To the south, the way branches. The road curves southeast, but a pass is clearly visible in the previously impenetrable wall of mountain to the southwest of the road.
Hawkeye heads towards the pass in the southwest, hoping to turn north after getting through the rougher terrain
Jeren (concerned): Taurus, I'm fearful for the refugee's. I think perhaps I will travel between them for a time, offer encouragement.
Taurus: As you wish Jeren.
You see a set of foot prints cross the road, heading in the direction of the pass to the southwest. You can tell that the tracks are somewhat fresh, probably less than three or four hours old, and were made by a dwarf.
Hawkeye gestures down to the tracks, motioning to the other plainsmen to keep an eye out, hoping to have finally found something beneifical. Mybe Jeren was right to have faith this day...
Two more hours pass as both groups trudge through the valleys.
The pass leading through the canyon slowly curves around to the north. The valley floor gently climbs higher into the mountains. The scrubby pines and grasses continue to be snow-covered, and the tracks coming across the pass from continue on through the wide valley.
Hawkeye excited that they appear to be following some dwarves, he gestures to continue on, looking to see if he can tell if they are gaining on them at all based on freshness of the tracks
You think that you are making ground on whoever made the tracks
Jeren made a reverent gesture and whispered a softly spoken word, summoning her faithful steed to her side. Swinging into the saddle she gave Taurus a nod and a wave before heading off to skirt the edges of the marching refugees, attempting to help any stragglers
after a couple more hours, you come to a round bowl valley. A narrow pass to the south east is the only easy way through, or back the way you came
Taurus lets out a call, guiding the large group towards the narrow pass. Calling out for them to thin their numbers so they can pass through faster.
You travel for another hour. You see off in the distance to the north, a narrow pass. the dwarven tracks break off to the west
Hawkeye glances to the north, knowing that his companions are somewhere up there, but not wanting to lose track of the progress he seems to be making on fiding the dwarven people. He looks around, the gestures for half the plainsmen with him to head north and find Taurus, letting him know what's going on as he continues to follow the tracks to the west.
Another hour passes for the Refugees. The snow continues to fall and shortly after exiting the narrow pass, you see in the distance a small group of plainsmen heading your way.
Taurus peers off into the distance at the figures concerned. The concern however quickly dissapates as he recognises the figures, striding towards them he greets them warmly.
Taurus: Well met brothers. Where is Hawkeye?
plainsman: Hawkeye fround dwarven tracks that headed to the west. They are fresh tracks
Taurus: The gods be blessed!
plainsman: if we head that way, we can catch up.
Taurus: Lead the way.
plainsman points to the south west
Hawkeye and the few remaining plainsmen make their way into the foothills that have a scattering of dense pines. hills are filled with snow and a fresh layer is begining to obscure the tracks you had been following. However, with the luck of the gods, you see off in the distance many small figures hurridly working away, chopping wood and gathering the lumber into satchels
Hawkeye: Praise be whatever god or goddess is watching out for us this day
Hawkeye turns and heads towards the figures in the distance, telling the other plainsmen to put their weapons down, hoping to approach them is as anti-hostile a manner as possible
Leopard (Vexin): I can speak Dwarven! Can anyone else?
Taurus: I'm afraid it is not a skill I have Vexin.
plainsman: We will not put our weapons down. You wish to lead us into death? What if they are not friendly?
Vexin Sixtoes: I can speak Dwarven! Can anyone else?
Hawkeye: If they are dwarves, they are our only hope to save our people. Would you come to them bearing weapons down on their heads? I know you can draw a weapon faster than a dwarf, can you not?
Zhage: I can speak dwarven.
plainsman shakes his head
Hawkeye: Fine... can you at least stay back a bit then?
plainsman: sorry, brother. We will not
plainsman: yes, we will et you go ahead then
Hawkeye nods appreciatvely to his fellow plainsmen, then moves ahead towards the figures
Hawkeye makes his way down to the dwarves, signalling to them as he approaches.
the dwarves look up at the lone man and grip their axes in their hands as they turn to face the plainsman
Hawkeye holds his hands out wide, hoping that they see him unthreateningly
One dwarf approaches and shouts some warning to you in dwarven
Hawkeye shakes his head, trying to indicate he doesn't understand
Hawkeye: I don't speak your language...
Neider (With thick accent): Who are you, and what are you doing here?
Hawkeye: I am hawkeye, of the Que-Teh in Abanisinia. I'm here looking for the dwarves of the mountains, in search of their aide
Neider looks suspiciously at the ranger
Neider: well go back from whence you came! There are no mountain dwarves here!
Hawkeye: Perhaps you could help me find them?
Neider: The mountain dwarves locked us out from their halls hundreds of years ago. We have no dealings with them anymore. Now Leave!
Vexin Sixtoes: Yes, we really need to find them!
Vexin Sixtoes: Please Mr. Dwarf!
Hawkeye: Please, sir, I need your help. There are hundreds of refugees from pax Tharkas that need a place to stay...
Neider (scowls): And you bring that army with you, no doubt...
Hawkeye: You can't tell me the hopsitality of the dwarves is to abandon these people in the wilds to die?
Neider: this is your last warning, plainsman...
Neider pulls his axe forward, threateningly
Hawkeye glares angrily at the dwarf, realizing that he is getting on where fast against the stubborn being. He nods curtly, turning to back away, glancing over every now and again, but realzing he can't press his luck any further
plainsman: so, what happened? What did they say?
Hawkeye: They won't help us
Hawkeye: I'd have a better chance of convincing you to drop your weapons
plainsman: we don't need there help!
plainsman spits to the ground
Hawkeye shakes his head slowly
Hawkeye: They're doing what they think is right by their people
Hawkeye: We'll have to find another band of dwarves, maybe they can lead us to the mountain dwarves
plainsman: shall we wait for the others here, or shall we go meet up with the others?
Hawkeye: Let's wait here.. let them see the refugees they refuse to help..
Hawkeye: Maybe it will spark some kindness in their hearts of stone
an hour and a half later, the refugees and the others make their way into the hills. There, they see Hawkeye and the few other plainsmen waiting under the shelter of a evergreen
Taurus trudges through the snow steadily, peering through the small clouds of mist that rise from each deep breath. Glancing breifly over the refugee's before spotting Hawkeye, letting out a wave to him.
Hawkeye walks out and approaches Taurus, filling him in on his conversation with the dwarves
Taurus brows furrow, furrow some more.
Taurus: HAwkeye.
Taurus: I have just one question.
Hawkeye: Yes?
Taurus: When you conversed with the Dwarves, did any spittle leave your mouth?
Hawkeye: What??
Taurus: ... nevermind.
Taurus: Let me talk with them.
Vexin Sixtoes (bounds up and gives a hug): HAWKEYE!
Taurus smiles, pats his friend on the shoulder and begins to trudge towards the dwarves.
Hawkeye hugs Vexin, then checks to make sure his dagger is still in his boot
Hawkeye: Glad to see you too, Vexin
Vexin Sixtoes follows Taurus, sure that Taurus needs his assistance
You see the dwarves finishing up, wrapping their wood into their satchels and preparing to head off into the snowy valley to the south west
Taurus: Hail, brothers!
Hawkeye nods to Jeren and Zhage
Taurus calls out as he approaches, showing open hands.
Neider turns to the knight and releasing a heavy sigh.
Neider: I WARNED THE OTHER! This will not be tolerated!!
Vexin Sixtoes: Hi Mr. dwarf!
Hawkeye: How was the march, Jeren?
Neider: and a kender...
Vexin Sixtoes beams a smile
the dwarves beard quivers with anger
Taurus: I offer my sincerest apologies for Hawkeye, I assure you for what he lacks in ettiquette he makes up for with ferocity in combat.
Taurus glances breifly towards Vexin, inwardly cringing, but turning his attention back onto the dwarf.
Neider: is that a threat???
Taurus: Quite the contrary.
Jeren rides towards Hawkeye, "Glad to see you are safe friend..." she says as she dismounts. Glancing towards where Taurus headed she furrows her brow
Jeren: Do you think the Dwarves will assist us Hawkeye?
Hawkeye: I think those dwarves are a lost cause... But I've seen taurus work miracles before with his words...
Taurus: The Drak threat has ravaged our lands and soon they shall be upon yours.
Hawkeye: I simply hope he doesn't anger them
Taurus: We must make a stand.
Taurus: And only together will we survive.
Hawkeye stands next ot Jeren as he looks over the snow to Taurus and the dwarves
Vexin Sixtoes (smiles): All we seek is the location of Thorbardin Mr. Dwarf
Vexin Sixtoes: Then we'll be on our way.
Taurus nods slightly in agreeance with Vexin.
Vexin Sixtoes assists Taurus
Vexin Sixtoes beams a huge grin at Taurus, knowing his assistance was direly needed
the dwarf looks to the two of you and back to his kin.
Zirkan: I am Zirkan. I will take you to my village and you can speak to my leader. I don't know how much of assistance we can be, but if you promise to be on your way by morning, then we will have no problems
Taurus: Your hospitality is most appreciated Zirkan. My name is Tauruas Regulas; Knight of the Crown of Solamnia.
Vexin Sixtoes: Thanks Mr. Dwarf!
Taurus: This is my companion Vexin Dragonslayer.
Taurus gestures to the Kender, then makes a gesture back to the awaiting group; beconing them to approach.
Vexin Sixtoes bursts into the biggest grin ever, towards Taurus
Jeren: There is one of those miracles you were speaking of Hawkeye...
Hawkeye shakes his head slwoly
Hawkeye: I'll never know how he does it, Jeren.. never
Taurus very quietly whispers to Vexin; "Well done, friend."
Jeren gives the ranger a pat on the shoulder. "I believe it has something to do with his faith... shall we join them?"
Vexin Sixtoes (whispers back): I knew you needed my help as usual! You did well too though.
Hawkeye laughs slightly at Jeren's comment, then nods, making sure ot keep behind her
Taurus: Perhaps word of your Dragonslaying has stretched even as far as the dwarves.
Vexin Sixtoes: Ooh... maybe it has!
Vexin Sixtoes puffs out his chest
Zirkan and the other 12 dwarves lead you off through the hills. A half hour later, the sun is begining to set, and the refugee's are begining to look even more exhausted than before
Soon after, A village of wooden cabins is nestled in the valley. Wisps of smoke rise from the lodgepole buildings and curl into the air.
Taurus lifts up a small tired child onto his shoulders ;)
Vexin Sixtoes sniffs the air
Vexin Sixtoes: Smells good!
Vexin Sixtoes: I smell BACON!
Hawkeye: Aye... too good. I don't want the refugees to dig into the dwarves wares...
Jeren continues to ride around the bedraggled group, calling out kind words and trying and keep the refugee's spirits high on the last leg of the days journey
Taurus: REmember to be on your best manners in their home Vexin.
Vexin Sixtoes: I always am!
Zirkan: You can set up camp here. Your leaders may come and speak to Stenkast, the leader of our clan
Taurus: Thank you Zirkan.
Hawkeye looks at Taurus briefly
Hawkeye: How many do you think we can send?
Taurus lowers the child to the group, ruffling his hair before gesturing his companions over.
Hawkeye: We are not the leaders here, despite all that we do..
Vexin Sixtoes: Me, of course....
Taurus: We are the leaders of this expedition.
Taurus: The leaders of the people should tend to their flock.
Hawkeye: Very well, Taurus
Taurus: Come as well Hawkeye, it would be an insult for you not to be present.
Taurus moves closer, whispering;
Hawkeye (muttering): or perhaps an insult for me to be there
Taurus (Whispered): Just try not to speak much.
Hawkeye nods, knowing the truth in Taurus's words
Vexin Sixtoes: I'm sure I can turn Hawkeye into a newt...
Hawkeye remembers the last time Taurus told them to be quiet, in the hall of Solostran, Speaker of the Sun, and groans...
Zirkan: Come. Follow me.
Vexin Sixtoes begins searchign through his spell compnents
Taurus smiles, pats his shoulder, then heads over to Zirkan; awaiting for the party to assemble and follow the dwarf.
Jeren: I don't think it will be necessary to turn anyone into a newt Vexin...
Vexin Sixtoes forgets about newts and follows Taurus
Taurus: Jeren, you may wish to leave your steed here. From what I remember Dwarves are not keen on such large beasts of burden.
Zirkan leads the small group to a large hall that dominates the center of the village. Zirkan enters and beckons for you to follow
Jeren nods, "of course, he needs his rest anyway..." the paladin dismounts and dismisses her horse back to the celestial realms.
Taurus steps into the large hall, bowing his head to Zirkan as he passes.
Vexin Sixtoes bounces into the audience chamber
Hawkeye follows silently, nodding to Zirkan
Jeren follows at the rear, bowing respectfully to Zirkan
the heat from the central hearth warms your chilled and frost bitten cheeks. The buliding is large and open, with a large feating table near the back. There, you see an elderly dwarf sitting at the table with a few other dwarves. No food is present but it looks as though they enjoy a stout ale
Taurus approaches the large table. Stopping several feet before it he lowers to a knee in a rather grand bow; after all the elder is the dwarven equivilent of royalty.
Zirkan walks over to the older dwarf and whispers something to him in his ear. After a moment, the older dwarf stands and offers a seat to each of you.
Vexin Sixtoes waves at the Elder
Hawkeye sits down, looking around the room and trying to make sure he says nothing at all.. hoping he can refrain from saying anything...
Jeren thanks the Elder dwarf, bowing once more before taking her seat
Vexin Sixtoes takes a seat next to Taurus and Jeren... eyesing the tankards of ale
Taurus rises and moves to the seat, lowering himself into it; trying not to let out a sigh as it has been a long time since he has broken for rest.
Stenkast: Zirkan tells me you seek our assistance. How can we be of help?
Taurus: Lord Stenkast. My companions and I guide the refugee's of Abanisia to safety from the invading Drak forces.
Taurus: We merely seek refuge for the night and a guide for the morrow.
Vexin Sixtoes begins searching through his many pouches, dumping a few on the table, then scooping up the trinkets and searchign another pouch
Taurus: There are some 800 of us. Sick, tired and injured.
Stenkast: You are welcome to make camp here for the night, but beyond that, we cannot provide you with much more.
Vexin Sixtoes (absentmindedly, knowing Taurus needs his assistance): Yes... we need to ge tto Thorbardin...
Taurus nods to Vexin.
Jeren reaches over and places a hand on Vexin's shoulder. Shaking her head slightly as if to indicate he should probably stop fiddling with things
Taurus: Aye, my companions is right.
Vexin Sixtoes finds what he was searchign for, and plops the tankard on the table, smiling brightly at the Elder
Taurus: There are few left after the ravages of the Drak's who can offer us a chance to regroup.
Hawkeye scans the room, going form his companions to the dwarvesm wondering if Taurus's luck will hold out.. his faith or gosd or whatever guides his words...
Taurus: We seek entrance to the halls of Thorbardin. Would you aid us in this task?
Stenkast slides the jug of ale toward the kender and turns to listen to the knight
Taurus: Such a gesture would not go unappreciated or rewarded.
Vexin Sixtoes giggles as he fills his tankard, takes a long gulp, and sets his tankard on the table... a huge foam moustache now adorning his upper lip
Stenkast: Thorbardin might help you, but I doubt it. They refused us, their own kin, three hundred years ago. Heh. But if you really want to try, tales say that Skullcap Mountain has the key to get in.
Vexin Sixtoes: Ooh! Skullcap! Sounds wonderful!
Taurus: There has never been in three hundred years a threat so grave that our mere existance is at stake.
Jeren watches Vexin, slightly in awe of his carefree antics.
Taurus: Even their great gates cannot stand solid against the ferocity of the Age of Dragons that now dawns upon us.
Stenkast: Yes, weve seen the abominations patrolling Pax Tharkas; weve seen the dragon. Its the olden days come to visit us. Our ancestors fought dragons once before; we can do it again. If not, well take to the hills. We know these peaks like the backs of our hands; no dragon is going to pry us out of here.
Taurus: With my own eyes I have seen these mighty beasts rule the skys and scorches the earth.
Vexin Sixtoes: Age of Dragons... that has a nice ring to it... like Vexin Dragonslayer
Taurus: I hope you are right Lord Stenkast.
Hawkeye grips the egde of his chair tightly as he hears the dwarves speka so carelesly about the threat the dragons hold..
Vexin Sixtoes burps, and sends parts of his foam moustache floating into the air
Stenkast: But as I said, the key to getting into Thorbardin is long lost to us. And Skullcap whispers only rumors of a key...
Taurus: Should we find the entrance to Thorbadin. Would you concider re-joining your kin? To put aside past differences and unite against this threat?
Vexin Sixtoes makes a game out of trying to catch the bits of foam back in his tankard
Vexin Sixtoes (burps again): Where is Skullcap?
Jeren sighs and looks to Stenkast. Her voice takes on a sincere tone. "Lord Stenkast, unless we can stand united then all shall fall..." the Paladin trails off as she glances towards Vexin once more
Stenkast: If there is no other choice... then perhaps we would set our differences behind us. But Thorbardin will be the ones you'll have trouble convincing. They are more stubborn then even us Neider
Stenkast turns to the kender
Stenkast: About thirty miles southeast of here. Middle of the Plain of Dergoth, the Battle Plain. That damned black robe blasted himself and the very mountains for thirty miles around to dust, taking thousands of dwarves and other folk along with him. The molten rubble landed on his lair. Looks like a skull. A fitting tomb for the fiend, if you ask me.
Hawkeye (whispered): There is no other choice...
Vexin Sixtoes finishes his tankard and wipes away the foam moustache... then peers around to see if anyone is watching, and just as everyone's eyes are turned, he tries to sneakily fill his tankard once more
Taurus: From what I have gathered you Neider are wise and cautious, these traits are ones I admire. Your cousins will open their gates for you and as the days of old your victories together will ring across the mountains and the hills.
The clan leader either doesn't care, or doesn't notice the kender refill his tankard
Taurus: This skullcap. Is it possible to lead 800 score through?
Stenkast: I doubt it. With winter on our doorstep, they will not have shelter, nor food on the Plains of Dergoth.
Vexin Sixtoes wipes up the bit of spilled ale, and speaks up
Taurus eyes lower, he nods.
Vexin Sixtoes: Sounds like it'd be hard to miss a mountain that looks like a skull...
Stenkast: aye. That it would
Vexin Sixtoes grins at Taurus
Taurus: Then I fear I must request we impose on your hospitality long enough that we might send a small party to reach the cap.
Taurus: Would you grant us such?
We have a good amount of food, but as were about settled in for the winter, well need what we have, especially if that army comes marching out of Pax Tharkas. You have a couple of options, though. To the west of here theres a beehive thats positively dripping with the most delicious honeygood for what ails ya and makes a fine mead. Other than that, southeast of here about fifteen miles as the crow flies, theres a nice valley with lots of game and fish. Reorxs blessing is upon that valley still, though the gods be gone for a long time. Youre welcome to stay there as long as you want. Maybe if that red wyrm and its lizard warriors chase us out of here, well come join ya.

Hawkeye already knows what Taurus is going to say
Taurus: You are indeed a most gracious host; Reorx blessed you with great gifts of generosity. Your assistance shall not be forgot.
Vexin Sixtoes (belches loudly): I like the valley idea. Animals...
Vexin Sixtoes grins and sways a bit
Taurus: In either our eyes, or the gods.
Stenkast nods to Taurus.
Taurus: In recognition of your assistance I request to bestow a gift upon your people Lord Stenkast. Are any amongst your kin vision impared?
Stenkast looks at Taurus quizically
Stenkast: Such a strange question to ask...
Taurus: Please, humour me.
Stenkast: Zirkan's father has been blind for 3 winters now...
Taurus: Would you have him come to this hall?
Stenkast: I would much rather not bother an elderly man such as he
Taurus: I have a gift for him.
Taurus: Is it not custom to exchange such between friends?
Taurus smiles.
Zirkan (suspicious): What are your intentions, knight? We don't look kindly upon witchcraft.
Taurus: I can assure you this is no witchcraft.
Vexin Sixtoes: Which Witch which you speak of?
Zirkan: What ever gift you intend to give to him, you can give to me. I will assure you that my father will be given it, if it is meant to be.
Hawkeye: Taurus, perhaps you should leave it be
Vexin Sixtoes: Not unless he has contagious spell...
Taurus raises a brow at Hawkeye and Vexin, looking back to Zirkan.
Vexin Sixtoes looks hazily at Taurus and raises HIS eyebrow
Taurus: Do you have faith in the true gods Zirkan?
Zirkan: Faith? I believe they existed, before they left this world.
Taurus: Then you know of the Clerics of old?
Hawkeye looks at Jeren...
Zirkan: It is our duty to remember them
Taurus: I am an extension of their will, a tool to be wielded by their hand.
Vexin Sixtoes yawns and raises his eyebrow at Taurus
Hawkeye looks at Taurus, and simply let's his jaw hang slightly open
Jeren holds a finger to her lips, indicating to Hawkeye they should remain silent
Taurus: And sometimes, just sometimes, I am allowed to bestow their blessing on others worthy of their love. One such as your father.
Stenkast: By Reorx's beard! Go get your father. If you do anything to harm this man, your blood will blanket the fesh snow that blankets the ground.
Taurus inclines his head.
Taurus: As you wish.
Zirkan leaves the building, only to return helping an elderly dwarf with smokey eyes
Taurus rises slowly as the elderly man enters, steping towards him slowly so he need not travel the whole path; meeting in the middle.
Zarlfin: Zirkan... who is here?
Taurus: Father of Zirkan, what be thy name?
Zirkan: the strangers I told you of, father
Zarlfin: oh? Zarlfin is my name, stanger.
Taurus smiles and gently takes the dwarf's shoulder, lowering to a crouch before him.
Taurus: Zarlfin, father of Zirkan. Do you hold love in your heart for the gods of old?
Vexin Sixtoes coughs
Zarlfin: My grandfather... he disappeared before the mountain struck Istar. He was said to have the gifts of Reorx. Of course I believe in him!
Taurus: Then look once more upon Reorx' creations and spread his name; for the Gods smile on us once more.
Taurus waves his hand slowly past the milky eyes of the aged dwarf, whispering a prayer to Kiri-Jolith to return to this man his vision.
The milky film that covers the dwarves eyes clears away and are replaced with pools of tears as he looks upon his son for the first time in 3 years
Zarlfin: by the gods...
Zirkan: Father?!
Taurus smiles and stands back letting them have their moment.
Vexin Sixtoes (sarcastically): wow, it's a miracle...
Jeren raises her hands in the air and calls out "Praise be the True Gods of Krynn!"
Vexin Sixtoes gulps the rest of his tankard down
Taurus: Praise be.
Hawkeye simply shakes his head, used to such things now, but somewhat confused by Jeren's reaction
Zarlfin: Reorx returns!
Hawkeye: You command those powers yourself, m'lady...
Vexin Sixtoes (quite slurred): I'm gonna need another tankard if this turns into a revival...
Jeren smiles softly, "It still strikes wonder in my heart when I see the God's power at work here Hawkeye."
Taurus glances breifly towards Vexin, frowns, then looks towards the Elder. "I beg your leave m'Lord. I must tend to the refugee's. Again, I thank you most graciously for your hopsitality."
Taurus bows deeply.
The rest of the evening passes quite comfortably. Despite watching the food supplies slowly dewindle, the refugee's are in high spirits this night.
Vexin Sixtoes passes out sprawled atop Skitters
Taurus spends the remainder of the evening tending the injured; using all of his healing to do so.
Hawkeye curls up under a tree somewhere to sleep
Vexin Sixtoes snores loudly, Skitters echoing the snoring, having been fed some ale by Vexin
The Morning comes and the snow slowly floats to the ground, but it seems to be letting up. The Neider bid you farewell and offer you luck in your path before you.
Vexin Sixtoes bounces toards the direction given to Skullcap
Hawkeye: After you, holy trio
Hawkeye gestures ot jeren, Taurus, and Vexin
Vexin Sixtoes: Skullcap, Skullcap! Off to-o Skullcap!
Elistan Approaches Taurus.
Taurus: Elistan.
Taurus: There is a valley that is plentiful, the plainsmen have been appraised of the location. You need to take the refugee's there.
Taurus: We will seek out aid from the Thorbadin.
Elistan: my friend. I have poured over these discs through out the night. I have never felt the true gods in such a way that I have. It is as if they speak to me, and guide my actions.
Taurus smiles to Elistan, nodding slowly.
Elistan Pulls out a medallion from below his tunic.
Taurus: It is just the beginning my friend.
Taurus nods to the medallion.
Hawkeye (to himself): Am I the only one that cannot call upon the Gods' favor?
Taurus: Through faith your eyes will see as they have never seen before.
Elistan: Paladine's word will spread to the refugees. It will give theim hope in these desperate times, such as what you and the gods have given to me.
Vexin Sixtoes: to hear Hawkeye [1d20+12 = 21]
Vexin Sixtoes: Have faith Hawkeye
Hawkeye grumbles slightly
Vexin Sixtoes rides Skitters ahead to scout on the way to Skullcap
Taurus: Ahh, the Mother. You have done well to embrace her into your heart Elistan.
Elistan: oh, my gawd! (Blows a bubble). Like, that is totally rad! We love Paladine, like, so much! And he, like, totally made that valley for us!
Taurus: As you spread the good word the God's influence will increase. I trust you will teach many of the old ways and help bring balance to the world once more.
Taurus: But for now, we must part. Be well Elistan.
Hawkeye starts riding out, tired of god this and gods that...
Riverwind: Taurus. It is here where we will part ways... for now. Goldmoon and I must stay here with our people. We will watch over them when you return with word of Thorbardin.
Taurus looks to Riverwind, taking the mans arm and looking at him levely.
Taurus: I could have wished for no better an allie, nor friend, Riverwind.
Taurus: We will meet again.
Riverwind mirrors Taurus' stance
Riverwind: best of luck to you
Taurus squeezes the plainsman's arm before releasing and turning to Goldmoon. Graciously sweeping up her hand to place a kiss upon it.
Taurus: And you M'Lady. It has been a pleasure to serve you.
Goldmoon: Thank you for all your help. It was your trust in us that has taken us this far together. We will meet again soon.
Taurus releases her hand, bows his head and departs.
Taurus: When we are safe within the halls of Thorabin I shall fill your tankards!
Eben: wait for me!
Eben chases after Taurus and the others
Taurus calls over his shoulder as he strides off, glancing to Eben as he catches up.
Taurus: You will be joining us Eben?
Hawkeye wonders if he caught up with Vexin yet...
Jeren blinks and stares at Eben. "You will be safer with the refugee's. Pray, do not place yourself in danger on account of us."
Eben: certainly. I represent the free folk, and they are suspicious of your group. I don't share their feeling, but it reassures them that I am with you.
Taurus: As you wish. It will be an honor to travel with you once more Eben.
Taurus nods to Jeren, as though assuring her it will be alright.
Jeren: Well if that is your wish Eben, then so be it.
Jeren shrugs and falls in step next to Taurus. A slight frown on her lips
Eben: I do Jeren. It is my duty to the people I represent.
Taurus pats Jeren on the shoulder, giving her a smile.
Gilthanas: So where do we go from here? Back to the road?
Jeren: Once we catch up with Vexin and Hawkeye we shall head for Skullcap
Taurus: And stick to cover if possible. Scouts will be looking for us.
Gilthanas nods
This high-altitude bowl is filled with stunted pine woods.
Taurus: It appears the wood here has been harvested.
Hawkeye glances around at his party, having stayed in the lead the whole time trying to keep out of earshot
Hawkeye keeps on leading ahead, confident in his wilderness skills to navigate the mountain passes
Taurus: I am curious Eben, for what reason do the refugee's distrust us?
You've been travelling for most of the day. The sun is slowly setting as you move through another valley full of snow and pine trees.
Hawkeye turns back to the party
Taurus: Hawkeye, can you find some shelter for camp?
Hawkeye: Perhaps now would be a good time to cap
Eben: They think you are abandoning them. I can't speak for the other factions, only the one I represent.
Hawkeye nods to Taurus, looking around for a place to rest for the night
Vexin Sixtoes: shelter [1d20+14 = 27]
Taurus: I see. That is an understandable concern.
Hawkeye is having a hard time managing in the snow, not used to the sheer magnitude of it down on the plains
Hawkeye refuses to let his party know that though
Vexin finds an old abandoned roe deer den in the guts of a large tree. It is large enough to house all of you comfortably.
Taurus: Well done Vexin, this is perfect.
Vexin Sixtoes bows like a bellman and gestures the party into the warm alcove
Vexin Sixtoes: And for dinner...
Taurus: I'll collect some wood for a fire, I doubt we'll be spotted this far out.
Vexin Sixtoes: for food [1d20+14 = 19]
Hawkeye goes into the back of the tree, sitting down silently
Vexin finds enough food for four people
Vexin Sixtoes: Venison!
Hawkeye pulls out one of his trail rations and begins munching away
Vexin Sixtoes: A baby deer... but enough to feed most of us... (hnds Eben a batwing Crunchie)
Taurus lights a fire before settling.
Eben: oh... uh. thanks Vexin. *Crunch*
Vexin Sixtoes takes 1st watch
Taurus: Hawkeye and Jeren first watch, Gilthanas and Eben second, Myself and Vexin last.
Vexin Sixtoes takes 1st watch in Leopard form
Hawkeye nods ot Taurus, not saying muhc, deep in thought
Vexin Sixtoes takes last watch in Leopard form
Hawkeye moves outside the tree, sitting down in the cold snow to look out across the mountainous expanse
Jeren remains silent and alert, although she doesn't stray to far from the camp fire
The night's temperature drops to an alarmingly cold degree, but the warmth of the fire helps considerably as well as the enclosed structure of your shelter. The night passes uneventful
Taurus says his prayers early during his watch, lighting a small candle and burning some nice incent sticks. At the sound of his companions stiring he packs them away, already adorned in his armor.
Hawkeye rises early, looking around to see Taurus and a rather large leopard already awake. He smiles slightly, as he walks over and ruffles the leopard's head a little walking outside into the biting cold
Hawkeye: We'll have to leave the mountains soon...
Jeren arms and armors herself as day breaks. She prays in silence before breaking her fast and conversing with her party
Vexin Sixtoes at dawn, changes back to a Kender and talks to a tree for a bit
Taurus: CAn you get a good lay of the land from this vantage point Hawkeye?
Hawkeye nods
Hawkeye: Talon can
Taurus: I'll break camp whilst you do.
Jeren (cheerfully): I'll help you Taurus...
Taurus smiles.
Taurus: Thank you.
Hawkeye gestures towards a nearby tree, and a large hawk slowly swoops down and lands on his arm, Talon always stealthily following the party wherever they go it seems
Jeren: Well, it's either that or talk to a tree with Vexin
Jeren chuckles
Talon: I need you to find me a mountain, Talon
Hawkeye: I need you to find me a mountain, Talon
Taurus: I don't suppose you and a tree would have much in common.
Taurus chuckles.
Taurus: I had a good conversation with Elistan before we left. It appears I was right in entrusting him with the discs; he will bring great hope to the people.
Hawkeye whispers a few more things to the bird, before it takes off into the sky. He sits down quickly, fiddling with the ring on his had. He closes his eyes slowly, as they seem to glaze over
Jeren nods slowly, "As always Taurus, your actions were wise. I hope his Faith can help them through the trials that lay ahead of them."
Talon flies high, searching the mountain expanses as he soars over the range looking for what he described
Taurus: Indeed. One can hand a man a hoe.
Taurus: But it is up to him to plow his fields.
Hawkeye visibly relaxes as he takes in the scenes of Talon, truly at peace as he gets to see the visages from the hawk's viewpoint. After quite a few minutes, he opens his eyes and they slowly begin to return to their normal vibrancy. He knows that Talon is too fr away to return anytime soon, but has a good idea as to where they need to go.
Hawkeye stands and moves back towards his companions
Taurus: How fairs our path ahead?
Jeren looks to Hawkeye, a little anxiously and awaits his words
Hawkeye: Long
Taurus: Then we shall tarry no more!
Hawkeye: There's a valley to the south that will take us to some foothills
Hawkeye: The plains lie beyond there. It was too far a flight for even Talon to find Skullcap
Taurus: I see.
Hawkeye: More than a day most likely
Taurus shoulders his pack, takes a slug from his waterskin and readies to move out. Looking to Hawkeye expectantly, readying himself for the difficult journey ahead.
Vexin Sixtoes scouts ahead with Skitters
Hawkeye nods and turns, hurriedly catching up to Vexin and Skitters as they make their way south
Eben smacks Jeren's ass.
Eben: no I ain't
Eben raises eyebrows and winks
Jeren is violated ;-;
As you make your way out of the mountain valley and into the hills, you come across the remenents of a broken road. A small stream with a ford is easily crossable. As you make your way across the ford, a giant boulder splashes cold water on you as it comes soaring from out of no where.
Taurus: Woah!
Taurus jumps back, peering around.
you look around and see a group of ogre's emerging from the sparse trees, surrounding you.
Hawkeye turns quickly as he draws his axe peering form where the boulder came from
Taurus lifts his hand, pointing at the biggest of the Ogres. "Cease! We have no quarrel with you!"

Taurus: Jeren, help Eben.
Jeren: I'll do what I can
Taurus lumbers over towards where the Ogre and Vexin grapply, waiting for the right moment before plunging his longsword at the creature.
The sword plunges into the ogre and slices upward, cutting his chest open. The ogre groans one last time before falling to the ground, narrowly missing Vexin

Taurus looks down at Vexin in concern.
Taurus (Booming): Praise the gods your alive!
Hawkeye: You are by far the most amazing warrior I have ever seen, Jeren...
Hawkeye rushes over to Jeren, a smile beaming on his face. He clasps the paladin in a hug, and then, without even realizing what he's doing suddenly shocking himself even kisses the paladin. realzing what he suddenly did, he quickly releases the hug and backs away, a look of somewhat terrified shock on his face.
Hawkeye: I um... sorry.. uh...

Leopard (Vexin) lifts a finger to gesture the Vigor spell
Hawkeye: Are you alright, Vexin?
Taurus: Perhaps we can dispense with the romantics until our companions are not so close to death.
Leopard (Vexin) heals 15 hp over 15 rounds
Taurus gives Jeren and Hawkeye an accusing look.
Hawkeye looks at Taurus, completely unable to fathom any words
Eben groans as his eye slit open. He coughs up a big wad of blood into the stream and struggles to get up but cannot
Jeren narrows her eyes at Taurus. "Romantics?" the blush fades from her cheeks and a cold look comes into her eyes.
Taurus crouches down, cradling Eben's head to help him spit out the blood as he continues healing. "You fought valiantly, friend."
Eben: ...mommy?
Leopard (Vexin): I'm ok... *staggers* just half-dead now, almost 100%
Taurus blinks, looking somewhat confused them smiles comfortingly to Eben.
Taurus: You're alright now Eben, just take it easy... you took a nasty blow.
Hawkeye: You fought valiantly, Vexin Dragonslayer
Vexin Sixtoes: I'm ok... *staggers* just half-dead now, almost 100%
Hawkeye walks back over to the party, escorting Vexin back as well
Eben sits up and shakes the cobwebs from his head
Hawkeye (barely able to look at jeren): Are your wounds alright, Jeren?
Taurus pats his shoulder, giving him a grin.
Taurus: Lets get out of this stream and recoup.
Taurus spreads the healing out, Vexin first (clw)
Jeren moves towards the kender and Hawkeye. "I'm fine Hawkeye, just some bruising..."
Hawkeye nods, still looking at the ground
Taurus eyes Gilthanas, Eben and Jeren to determine who is in most need of healing.
Taurus: Jeren, let me see your wounds.
Taurus lumbers over, shrinking down to normal size. Not so much as a scratch on him, his shield somewhat dented though.
