Our Wedding Date: June 3, 2006
Location: The Rowan House in Leeds.
Once a farmouse and now a historical landmark,
the Rowan House was built in 1904 and was donated to the
Leeds Historical Society in 1998. The house was fully restored
after being vacant for nearly 20 years. Carpenters for Christ restored the
house and it was dedicated to the public in 2000. The house and land were
renamed Rowan Oaks in tribute to the 100+ year old oak trees surrounding
the home. The inside is beautifully furnished with donated heirlooms and
aniques bought from estate sales, has pine floors, authentically restored
woodwork and a hand-crafted stained glass transom.
Day/Time: Saturday, June 3rd, 2:00 pm.
Reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
Invitations have been sent out; RSVP by May 10th.
We are registered at Macys and Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Directions:From Birmingham, take I-20 East to Exit #140 (Leeds Hwy 78). Go right onto Hwy 78 East, go 1.3 miles to the first light and turn right, at the T-intersection turn right onto Hwy 119 South, go 1.2 miles and The Rowan House will be on your right at the entrance to the Woodruff Farms subdivision entrance.
From Pell City, take I-20 West to Exit #144-B (Leeds Hwy 411). Merge onto Hwy 411 South, go through 6 lights (pass Lowe's, RR tracks, Sonic) and at the stop sign go right to be on Hwy 119 South, go 2.2 miles and The Rowan House will be on your right at the entrance to the Woodruff Farms subdivision entrance.
