This film has to be one of the all time classics. Of course the acting is great and the plot is OK but the great thing about this movie is the famous car Chase. Detective Bullitt of the San Fransisco police dept. has a whitness gunned down under his protection. It is soon learned that two profetional hitmen from out of town did the job. When det. Bullitt starts to uncover the reason for the murder his name is added to the hit list. The film leads to a climax towards the end the has det. Bullitt driveing his 68 fastback Mustang being chased through the streets of San Fransisco by a 69 Charger. The chase scenes are teriffic and the cool fact is that McQueen did most of his own driveing. Starring: Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, a young Robert Duvall, and the very sexy Jaqueline Bissett. I give this film 5 out of 5 lug nuts. (cause I can)
