In 1992 Dr. Michael Walker developed the company Rhythm Search Developments, which was the forerunner of the Caridome Pharma Corporation. Mr. Walker is a professor of Pharmacology at UBC. Ultimately his goal as a scientist was to develop a anti-arrhythmic remedy. In 2001, the company changed names to Cardiome Pharma Corp to display the company’s newly emergent cardiac focal point.
