This is our official rules that we have created and the way we play Bond Tournaments here in New Zealand. We send a copy of this to anyone that might be interested in challenging us for our title. 1. Team

1.1 A team shall be composed of 2 athletes.
1.2 An athlete may be a member of any amount of teams.
1.3 An athlete may not be a member of the two teams facing in any given tournament.
1.4 Only 2 teams shall enter in a single bond tournament.
1.5 It is encouraged that teams wear their own uniforms.

2. Set up

2.1 A barrier or divider of some form shall divide the playing area into team sections so opposing team members can not visually communicate and team screens can not be seen by the opposition. (This shall be known as a screen divider)
2.2 Chairs or seating shall be set up in both team areas to accommodate for all athletes.
2.3 Athletes may setup an official clock to see at all times.
2.4 At end of set up, athletes shall arrange their own refreshments etc.
2.5 The current champion team shall bring the trophy.
2.6 Both teams must agree upon the light conditions before commencement and apply the appropriate strategies to minimize this.

3. Equipment

3.1 Athletes shall provide their own controllers.
3.2 If agreed upon players may borrow controllers from the host and/or another individual.
3.3 Athletes may decal their personal controllers with their sponsors’ names, logos and pictures.
3.4 The host of the tournament shall provide the console and the game unless prior agreement with another individual states that they will provide this.

4. Warm up

4.1 Teams are entitled to at least 10 minutes alone to practice and strategize prior to tournament commencement.
4.2 Teams have the right to forfeit the above-allocated time.
4.3 In conjunction and agreement with the opposing team, combined unofficial warm up matches may be held.
4.4 It is traditional in many tournaments to play the default setup while the divider is being configured for four players.

5. Game & Structure

5.1 The following set up options in the tournament are mandatory:
5.2 Universal team characters. Use cheats so athletes on the same team are the same characters. This is achieved as follows: Select 4 players, and have the 4th player choose their team character, no one else matters at this stage and can choose anyone. Now go select 3 players and have the 3rd player choose their team character, once again the others don’t matter. Select 2 plays and have both player 1 and 2 choose the same characters as their teammates. Change the amount of player’s back to four on the menu and it will work.
5.3 This character must be used through out the whole tournament.
5.4 Illegal characters are those that are shorter in relation to the reference character (being Bond). This includes; oddjob, the first civilian and the second moonraker elite etc.
5.5 Scenario: Teams: 2 vs. 2.
5.6 Health: all athletes must play with hero –10 regardless of their ability or experience.
5.7 Sight on, Auto aim off.
5.8 Athletes may choose their controller style. 1.1 Honey is standard.
5.9 The following weapons are illegal: Slappers, Throwing Knives.
5.10 Teams may choose “Random” as their level of choice.
5.11 The following level is illegal for standard rounds: Library.
5.12 After a death, athletes must regenerate be pressing start immediately.
5.13 Twelve 10-minute rounds (known as standard rounds) and two 20-minute rounds (known as special rounds) will be played.
5.14 The structure will be four standard rounds, one special round, then
Four more standard rounds, then another special round, followed by another four standard rounds.
5.15 The challenging team chooses the first level and weapon, (this is known as the match scenario) from here on teams take alternate terns to choose the match scenario for standard rounds
5.16 Teams cannot choose the same scenario more than once. This excludes overtime matches
5.17 The Level for special rounds will be library and the challenging team will decide on the weapons for the first round, followed by the defending team choosing for the second round.
5.18 Prior or during the tournament athletes may agree on the tournament format to include fewer or greater rounds to fit time demands but only if this is a unanimous decision.

6. Scoring

6.1 An official scorer and a match configurer nominated at the commencement of the tournament shall score and configure the rounds.
6.2 Any round that has been miss-configured shall be replayed immediately.
6.3 The scorer should be fluent and not bias in scoring.
6.4 Refer official “Scoring Sheet” for scoring points. Some included for standard rounds are as follows:
? Win at own match scenario: 4 points
? Win at oppositions match scenario: 5 points
? Loss: 0 points
? Loss with in 5 points of opposition score: 1 point
? Break the 30 point barrier: +1 point
? Break multiple of ten beyond 30 point barrier: +1
6.5 The assigned points for fouling will be deducted from the team’s total score as soon as the infringement occurs.
6.6 After every match teams have the right request the scoring sheet or ask for the totals to be read allowed and agree to the points allocated.
6.7 This may not be done in a manor that it significantly and unnecessarily delays the commencement of the next round.
6.8 If any additional rules are implemented in any singe tournament by decision of mutual agreement, they must be recorded on the official score sheet for future reference.

7. Fouling and malfunctions

7.1 For the following actions the following penalties will be incurred:
7.2 Looking at another teams screen deliberately: -15 points
7.3 Not notifying the other team and pausing the game if the divider malfunctions: -15 points
7.4 Deliberately standing against a swinging door preventing it from opening in a level where a weapon cannot shoot/fire through that door: -15 points
7.5 In game cheat codes (This includes invisibility etc): -20 points
7.6 Deliberate sabotage to console causing it to freeze etc by physical contact: -20 points
7.7 In the event of deliberate sabotage to console or set up causing it to freeze and interfere with the match out come by an athlete/team the match being played will be restarted under the same conditions and the point penalty will be recorded. (I.e. The match will count as the same teams choice of scenario.)
7.8 If the console malfunctions and/or freezes with out interference from an athlete/team and cannot be fixed the same as above applies with the exception of points deducted

8. Winning and Re-challenging

8.1 In the event of a draw on points, 2 more standard matches will be played. Each team has the chance to select a scenario to play for that match. The team holding the trophy has the privilege to choose the first match. Scoring for these matches are kills only and at the end of the second match the official scorer shall total them and read the results aloud. As of this point all memory of scenarios is erased and rule 5.15 is now reset and enforced.
8.2 If another draw occurs, the above process will be repeated until the champion team is found.
8.3 The same scenarios must not be chosen twice by the same team in over time rounds
8.4 The trophy shall be handed to the winning team, and if possible engraved immediately.
8.5 The trophy shall be engraved/printed with details of month, year, athletes and team name.
8.6 The trophy can only be gained if a team challenges the current champion team.
8.7 When a date is set, decided and scheduled, the tournament must go ahead.
8.8 If any athlete or team withdraws, the tournament will be classed as default and victory goes to the other team, unless mutual agreement stands that the reason is legitimate.

9. Breaks

9.1 Minor breaks refer to essential breaks such as toilet breaks and major
Breaks refer to breaks like lunch/dinner
9.2 A minor break can only occur between any round.
9.3 A major break occurs at half time unless prior organisation between all parties.
9.4 A match shall not be paused/stopped unless the infringe has legitimate reasons, or it is essential in upholding a rule as stated in this document.
9.5 Athletes must resume to menu screen as promptly as possible without delay between rounds
9.6 Athletes may view their awards and statistics after each round.
