Okay, okay, so I haven't updated the site much since we got here. So sue me. We just got the internet at home after 8 months of being here. I have resorted to going to and internet cafe near work until now, and 10 cent a minute is expensive.
Speaking of work, it only took Taryn and I less than a week to find employment. She works at Zavvi Entertainment, which is what Virgin Megastore is now called.I work at River Island, a popular clothing store over here. Both are housed inside the Dundrum shopping centre. I am the fitting room controller, which means I stand in my cave all day giving advice to people about what to buy. This website has been created to document the adventure of two Canadian girls who, as a part of SWAP, are traveling and working in Europe. More specifically, they will live and work in Dublin, Ireland for about a year, then London, England (or possibly Edinborough, Scotland) for about six months and then they plan to meander around the continent for the last few months.
The adventure begian May 21st, 2007 when we will boarded our first of three planes on the way to Ireland. We flew from Victoria to Seattle (49 minutes), Seattle to Newark (5 hours, 27 minutes), and Newark to Dublin (6 hours, 30 minutes) with about two hours between each flight. We left at 8:45 am Victoria time on May 21st, and arrived in Dublin at 9:35 am Dublin time on May 22nd.
