Network (PSTN) Simplified

1. Caller A picks up the telephone and initiates a call to Caller B.
2. Analog signal travels to the End Office Switch
3. The End Office Switch switches the call to the appropriate outgoing line.
4. Telephone rings at Caller B.
5. Caller B answers and completes the circuit between Caller A and Caller B.
