Private Instruction for All Styles of Voice

Kimberly Hadsell- Lyric- Soprano, is a long time student of the Bel Canto Method of Singing studying with Shoshana Feinstein of Cranston, RI for 24 years. She is a strong proponent of the way singing should feel to the student and uses visualization in her teaching. She has a strong ear for correct placement of the students’ voice and utilizes the Alexander Technique for relaxation and proper body alignment. A down- to earth no pressure style is favored- sometimes it’s a matter of just bringing the voice forward! Kimberly has applied the Bel Canto technique to the popular music TOP 40 venues such as The Harborside, East Greenwich RI: Kojak’s, Warwick RI: Septembers, Albany NY: Froggies, West Hartford CT and Trump Castle Atlantic City, for Latoya Jackson’s record release. This supports the teaching that Classical Voice teaching doesn’t pigeonhole a performer into performing only classical music. The Bel Canto Method incorporates the proper vowel sounds and placement and the pure vocal power that can come from proper breathing techniques. During the past 7 years, Kimberly has studied more of the classical operas associated with Bel Canto technique and Kimberly has lent her coloratura soprano to Shoshana’s CD ‘Anam Cara’ as well as Shoshana’s opera release ‘Aria 51’. She has performed with The American Opera Company live and in studio recordings and has performed, with the late Mr. Kaji Aso, renowned Tenor, Artist, Renaissance man , duets from ‘La Boehme’, 'Don Giovanni' and ‘La Traviata’ as well as duets with Shoshana, such as Delibes ‘Lakme’. Kimberly has performed at John Fuzeks Annual Hear in RI Festival in Providence RI, GClef, The Station (may peace be with all who lost their lives), Century Lounge, and The Call. Kimberly has sung background on numerous recordings such as Digital Side of the Moon-Phase I, for Big Noise Productions, Stephen DeCesare’s Our Lady of Fatima, Jesus is the Reason for the Season, and Bell A’mor, and Shoshana’s Avalon CD Series.
