It was the year the Catholic Church declared that watching Mass on television did not fulfill one's "obligations," the year of the first four-minute mile and the invention of the non-stick frying pan.

Perhaps most notably though, it was the year the world first met Godzilla and
Karen O'Halloran, a giant lizard from Tokyo and a little girl born in a small Minnesota farming town, both destined to redefine culture.

These days Karen supports her art and cats with gainful employment in downtown Dallas, Texas. As a member of DPS society, KO'H is often found walking in stream beds, landfills and quarries to unearth answers to questions not yet posed. Godzilla, 29 films and counting, also continues to
seek truth through art.
